Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) efektivitas prakerin yang dilaksanakan siswa SMK teknik elektro, (2) kesiapan kerja siswa SMK teknik elektro setelah melaksanakan prakerin, serta (3) implikasi prakerin siswa SMK teknik elektro terhadap kesiapan kerja yang dimilikinya. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa SMK teknik elektro di provinsi Jawa Barat yang berjumlah 6.758 siswa. Sampel yang diambil dari jumlah populasi yaitu sebanyak 604 siswa yang dipilih secara acak. Jumlah tersebut dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus Isaac dan Michael. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode kuesioner atau angket. Uji coba instrumen penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas XII jurusan elektronika industri SMK Negeri 1 Katapang sebanyak 60 siswa. Seluruh analisis dalam penelitian menggunakan bantuan aplikasi IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows 24.0. Hasil uji coba instrumen menyatakan bahwa angket memenuhi syarat layak dan sahih untuk dijadikan instrumen penelitian. Pengujian prasyarat analisis menggunakan uji linieritas dinyatakan linier. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) efektifitas siswa SMK negeri teknik elektro di provinsi Jawa Barat dalam melaksanakan prakerin dikategorikan tinggi dengan angka 80.90%, (2) setelah melaksanakan prakerin, siswa SMK teknik elektro di provinsi Jawa Barat memiliki kesiapan kerja yang cukup tinggi dengan angka 85.94%, (3) prakerin siswa SMK teknik elektro berimplikasi positif terhadap kesiapan kerja yang dimilikinya. Dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.248, yang artinya sebesar 25.80% variabel prakerin mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja. ;--- This research aims to determine (1) the effectiveness of internship carried out by electrical engineering students of VHS, (2) work readiness of students of electrical engineering VHS after implementing internship, and (3) the implications of students’s insternship of electrical engineering VHS on the readiness of work it has. The population in this research is all students of electrical engineering VHS in the West Java province, totaling 6,758 students. Samples taken from the total population are as many as 604 students selected at random. The amount is calculated using the Isaac and Michael formula. Data collection using questionnaire method. The experimental test of the research was conducted on the students of 3rd grade electronics industry of SMK Negeri 1 Katapang as many as 60 students. All analysis in the study using IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows 24.0 application. Instrument test results stated that the questinnaire fulfilled the valid and reliable requirements to be used as a research instrument. The prerequisite analysis test uses linearity test is declared linear. Data analysis technique used is simple regression analysis technique. The result of this research are (1) the effectiveness of electrical engineering public vocational students in West Java province in implementing internship is categorized as high with a number of 80.90%, (2) after implementing internship, electrical engineering vocational students in West Java province have a fairly high work readiness with 85.94%, (3) student’s internship of electrical engineering VHS have positive implication to the readiness of their work. With the coefficient of determination of 0.248, which means equal to 25.80% internship variable affect the work readiness.
