Abstract
Pantai Leuweung Sancang merupakan salah satu cagar alam laut yang berlokasi di Jawa Barat. Daerah intertidal Pantai Leuweung Sancang memiliki bermacam-macam substrat, yaitu substrat pasir, pasir berlumpur dan karang yang ditumbuhi lamun dan alga. Ophiuroidea banyak ditemukan pada daerah intertidal yang memiliki jenis substrat tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keragaman dan kelimpahan Ophiuroidea di zona intertidal Pantai Leuweung Sancang. Penelitian khusus mengenai keragaman Ophiuroidea pada daerah Jawa Barat masih relatif sedikit dilakukan, kecuali secara umum pada echinodermata. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Februari sampai Maret 2018, dengan menggunakan metode transek kuadrat. Area penelitian dibagi menjadi empat stasiun, yang dibedakan oleh rona lingkungannya. Selama pengamatan tercatat 8.243 individu, yang tergolong dalam 7 spesies Ophiuroidea, dan termasuk ke dalam suku Ophiocomidae, yang terbagi menjadi dua marga, yaitu Ophiocoma dan Ophiomastix. Ophiocoma dentata memiliki nilai kelimpahan tertinggi yaitu, 0,333, sedangkan Ophiomastix annulosa memiliki nilai kelimpahan terendah, yaitu 0,003. Nilai indeks keragaman (H’) pada zona intertidal Pantai Leuweung Sancang adalah 1,352, yang termasuk dalam kategori keragaman sedang, dan nilai indeks kemerataan (J’) adalah 0,695 yang termasuk dalam kategori kemerataan tinggi. Keragaman dipengaruhi oleh beberpa faktor lingkungan yaitu substrat, suhu dan salinitas. Pada pantai Leuweung Sancang didapati kisaran nilai suhu mulai dari 28oC sampai 31 oC, serta kisaran nilai salinitas mulai dari 30‰ sampai 32‰.;---Leuweung Sancang Coast is one of ocean conservation area that located at West Java. Intertidal zone of Leuweung Sancang Coast has many kind of substrates, that is sand, muddy sand and coral, which overgrown by seagrass and seaweed. Many Ophiuroidea have been found at intertidal zone on those kind of substrates. The aimed of this research was to describe diversity and abundance of Ophiuroidea at intertidal zone of Leuweung Sancang Coast. Research about diversity of Ophiuroidea at West Java is very rarely done, expect as part of echinoderms studies. Data were collected at February to March 2018, applied with quadrat transect method. The area of this research were divided into four stations, which differentiated by its environment factors. In total of 8.243 individuals belonging to 1 family that is Ophiocomidae, which divided into two genera that is Ophiocoma and Ophiomastix. Ophiocoma dentata has the highest value of abundance index, which is 0,333, while Ophiomastix annulosa has the lowest value of abundance index, which is 0,003. Diversity index (H’) value of Leuweung Sancang coast is 1,352, that categorize as medium diversity level, and evenness index (J’) value is 0,695, that categorize as high evenness level. Diversity is affected by some abiotic factors, that is temperature and salinity. Intertidal zone of Leuweung Sancang Coast has temperature range from 28oC until 31 oC, and salinity range from 30‰ until 32‰.
