Abstract

Di abad 21 denganekonomi global yang sangatkompetitif dan selaluberubah, kaummudaharusmemilikibanyakkecakapanhidup agar dapatbersaing dan menjalanituntutan dan tantangankehidupannyatasehari-hari. Oleh karenaitu, partisipasikaummudadalamolahragadipercayadapatmeningkatkankecakapanhidup dan perkembanganremaja yang positif. Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmenyelidikidampakkegiatanekstrakurikulerolahragaterhadapperkembanganlife skillssiswasekolahmenengahatas. Metodepenelitian yang digunakanadalaheksperimendengan model quasi-experimental design. Jumlahsampelsebanyak 67 siswa yang terbagikedalamtigakelompok, yaitu: kelompokekstrakurikulerolahraga bola voli yang diberiperlakuanberupaintegrasilife skillskedalam program ekstrakurikuler (n=27, Kelompok A); kelompokekstrakurikulerolahraga bola voli yang tidakdiberiperlakuan (n=23, Kelompok B); dan kelompok yang tidakmengikutiekstrakurikuler dan tidakdiberiperlakuan (n=17, Kelompok C). Hasil penelitianmenunjukkanbahwa: (1) Terdapatperbedaanperkembanganlife skillsantarasiswakelompok A, B dan C(F hitung = 48, 259 lebih besar dari pada F tabel = 3,14); (2) Perkembanganlife skills siswakelompok A lebihtinggidari pada dan siswakelompok B(mean rank A = 36,98 lebih besar dari mean rank B = 12,02); (3) Perkembanganlife skills siswa kelompokA dan siswakelompokC (mean rank A = 30,93 lebih besar dari mean rank C = 9,12). Selanjutnyaberdasarkangain score, makaperolehanperkembanganlife skillssiswa A lebihbaikdari pada B. Demikian juga jikadibandingkandengansiswakelompok C. Dapatdisimpulkanbahwaprogram integrasi life skills ke dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikulerhasilnya cukup efektif untuk mengembangkan lifeskills siswasekolahmenengahatas;---In this 21st century, the global economy competitively flows and always change, young generation should have life skill to compete and undergo the challenge of daily real-life event. Therefore, the youth participation in sports is entrusted to develop life skill and positive adolescence development. The purpose of this research is to find out of the impact of sports extracurricular to the life skills of the senior high students. The method of this research was quasi-experimental design. The total samples were 67 students who were divided into 3 groups, they were: volleyball extracurricular group that was treated (n=27) to life skills integration to extracurricular program (henceforth; A); volleyball extracurricular group that was not treated (n=23, henceforth; B); and group of students that was not treated (n=17) who had not joined the extracurricular (henceforth; C). The results of the research show that : (1) There were different developments of life skills between A, B and C(F-count = 48.259higher thanF-table = 3.14); (2) The developments of life skills of A higher than B(mean rank A = 36.98 higher thanmean rank B = 12.02); (3) The developments of life skills ofA and C (mean rank A = 30.93higher thanmean rank C = 9.12). Furthermore, based on the gained score, the result of A was doing good in life skills better B. It was also better C. It is concluded that integration of life skills to the extracurricularis effective enough to develop senior high students’ life skill.
