Abstract

Penelitianinidilatarbelakangikarenaforgivenessmenjadisikapdanketerampilanpadamanusia yang mulaidianggapkurangpentingdewasaini. Forgivenessmenjadiunsurpentingsebagaialatpenyembuhemosi yang menjadikanindividupenuhdengankebajikandancintakasihkepadasesama. Internalisasinilaiforgivenessmenjadi modal dasarindividudalamkehidupannya. Tujuandilakukanpenelitianadalahuntukmengetahuideskripsiumummengenaiforgivenesspesertadidikdanmengetahuiperbedaanforgivenessantaralaki-lakidenganperempuan. Tujuanakhirpenelitianadalahpembuatan program bimbingansosialuntukmengembangkanforgivenesspesertadidik. Penelitiandilakukankepada 444 pesertadidikkelas XI sebagaipopulasipenelitian. Metode yang digunakandalampenelitianiniadalahpenelitiandeskriptifdenganpendekatankuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakanadalah TRIM-18 dari McCullough dkk (2006). Hasilpenelitianmenunjukkansecaraumumtingkatforgivenesspadapesertadidikkelas XI SMK Negeri 5 Bandung padakategorisedangsebesar 68,47%, dantidakterdapatperbedaandiantaralaki-lakidanperempuan. Temuaninimengindikasikanpesertadidikcenderungmenghindarataumenarikdiriterhadappelaku yang telahmenyakitiataumenyinggungperasaanyasertamasihmemilikimotivasiuntukberbuatkebaikandenganpelaku, walaupunpesertadidiktersebutmerasamenjadi korban, dibandingkandenganmotivasiuntukmembalasdendam. Penelitianmenjadirekomendasialternatif program bimbingansosialbagiSMK Negeri 5 Bandung. Program yang dirancangmencakupaspek-aspekforgiveness sebagaideskripsikebutuhanberdasarkanhasilpenelitian.Aspek-aspektersebutadalahavoidance motivation, revenge motivation, danbenevolence motivation. Program yang dirancangdifokuskanuntukmengembangkanforgiveness denganmereduksiaspek-aspeknegatif, danmeningkatkanaspekpostifforgiveness. Berdasarkan program yang telahdirancang, dihasilakan program bimbingansosial yang layakmenurutpakardanpraktisibimbingandankonselinguntukmengembangkanforgiveness pesertadidikkelas XI SMK;--- This research happened because forgiveness is one of attitude and skill of human being but nowadays began to be considered not reallyimportant. Forgiveness is one of an important element as a cure from emotion, also made an individual become full of virtue and affection to each other. Internalization's value of forgiveness become one of the capital in individual life. This research aims to know the description of student's forgiveness and to know the different value of men and women student forgiveness. The main purpose of this research is creating a social guidance program to developforgiveness of student. This research held to 444 students of XI class as a sample. The method that used in this research is descriptive with quantitative way. The instrument that used is TRIM-18 from McCullough (2006). The result of this research shows that student in SMK 5 Bandung have an average value of forgiveness at 68,47%, and there’s no different between men and women student. This shows that sample is tent to avoid people that already made them disappointed in term of psychology or physic, but still have a motivation to help them even if they felt like a victim rather than a motivation to do a revenge. This research becomes a recommendation of social guidancealternativeprogram for SMK Negeri 5 Bandung. Programs that assembled including the aspects of forgiveness as a description of needs based on research results. Those aspects are avoidance motivation, revenge motivation, and benevolence motivation. Program assembled to eradicate negative aspect on the victim and to increase the positive aspect of forgiveness. As an assembler program, it produced a social program that worthy to do according to scholar and practitioner of guidance and counseling for developing forgiveness in student of SMK class XI
