Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam nilai pengetahuan mata pelajaran Aircraft Hydraulic and Pneumatic pada KD 3.12 dan 4.12. Nilai pengetahuan yang rendah ini disebabkan oleh pembekalan konsep dari KD sebelumnya belum terlaksana dengan baik. Proses pembelajaran menggunakan media handout kurang tepat sebagai sarana untuk memudahkan siswa dalam memahami mata pelajaran Aircraft Hydraulic and Pneumatic. Penelitian ini menggunakan multimedia animasi elemen pneumatik yang diharapkan menjadi sebuah solusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan multimedia animasi elemen pneumatik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menafsirkan fungsi dan operasi komponen sistem pneumatik secara signifikan dibandingkan media handout. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI KRPU 1 dan 2 di salah satu SMK Negeri Bandung yang sedang menempuh mata pelajaran Aircraft Hydraulic and Pneumatic. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain eksperimen non-equivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar kelompok siswa yang menggunakan multimedia animasi elemen pneumatik berbeda secara signifikan dibandingkan kelompok siswa yang menggunakan media handout. Peningkatan hasil belajar kelompok siswa yang menggunakan multimedia animasi elemen pneumatik lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok siswa yang menggunakan media handout, dengan rata-rata peningkatan 0,60 untuk multimedia animasi elemen pneumatik dan 0,41 untuk media handout. Siswa merespon positif penggunaan multimedia animasi elemen pneumatik pada proses pembelajaran menafsirkan fungsi dan operasi komponen sistem pneumatik dengan persentase 85%. This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in the knowledge score of Aircraft Hydraulic and Pneumatic subject in Basic Competencies (BC) 3.12 and 4.12. This low knowledge score is caused by the provisioning of concepts from the previous BC which has not been implemented well. The learning process using media handouts is not appropriate as a means to facilitate students in understanding Aircraft Hydraulic and Pneumatic subjects. This study uses multimedia animation pneumatic elements which are expected to be a solution. This study aims to determine the use of multimedia animation pneumatic elements that can significantly improve the ability of students to interpret the functions and operations of pneumatic system components compared to media handouts. The subjects in this study were students of class XI AFM 1 and 2 at one of the Bandung State Vocational Schools who were taking Aircraft Hydraulic and Pneumatic subjects. The method used is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design experimental design. The results showed that the increase in learning outcomes of groups of students who used pneumatic elements animated multimedia was significantly different compared to groups of students who used media handouts. Improved learning outcomes of groups of students who use pneumatic elements animated multimedia better than groups of students who use media handouts, with an average increase of 0.60 for pneumatic elements animated multimedia and 0.41 for media handouts. Students responded positively to the use of multimedia animated pneumatic elements in the learning process of interpreting the functions and operations of pneumatic system components with a percentage of 85%.
