    Abstract

    Penelitian ini didasari dengan timbulnya permasalahan dalam pembelajaran IPS dikelas. Rendahnya antuasiasme siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPS yang cenderung membosankan atau bisa dikatakan monoton, jika dibiarkan terus menerus tentu akan berdampak pada aspek pembelajaran IPS. Untuk memperbaiki hal tersebut peneliti mencoba menerapkan sikap green behavior atau perilaku hijau dengan menggunakan model project based learning untuk mengaitkan dengan pembelajaran IPS di sekolah. Hal ini juga untuk melatih kesadaran siswa akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dengan baik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) dengan model Ebbut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 40 Bandung, sedangkan yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-J. Pembelajaran dengan menerapkan pola perilaku hijau/green behavior menggunakan model project based learning dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat dikatakan berhasil. Pada siklus pertama, hasil observasi tentang kesadaran siswa akan pola perilaku peduli terhadap lingkungan pada kategori “cukup”. Pada siklus kedua, penerapan, peningkatan pola perilaku hijau sudah mengalami peningkatan pada kategori “baik”. Kemudian pada siklus ketiga berada pada kategori “baik”. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan bertambahnya pemahaman siswa tentang pola perilaku hijau/green behavior dalam pembelajaran IPS dan dapat menghasilkan produk yang berguna dan bernilai lebih. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan, bahwa dengan menerapkan model project based learning dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa akan pemahaman pola perilaku hijau atau green behavior.

    ;---This study is conducted by the emergence of efforts in learning Social Studies at the classroom. The lack students' enthusiasm for the Social Studies subject that gives uninteresting or monotonous impression could have some impacts on learning aspects of Social Studies. To tackle these problems, we propose green behavior concept by using a project based learning model to improve learning process in Social Studies subject. This could also trigger students' awareness in term of the importance for preserving cleanliness environment. The research method used in this study utilizes a classroom action research with the Ebbut’s model. This research was conducted at SMPN 40 Bandung, while the research subjects were students of class VII-J. The study by adopting green behavior concept using a project based learning model in Social Studies subject gave satisfactory result this can be proven by three stages observation. In the first cycle, student learning outcomes regarding environmental awareness was in the "enough" category. In the second cycle, the application, showed an increasing result in the green behavior patterns in the "good " category. Moreover, in the third cycle remark was in the "good" category. In addition, green behavior concept in learning Social Studies and can produce useful and better products. In conclusion, by applying a project-based learning model in learning Social Studies subject can improve students' ability to understand green behavior.
