Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari keingintahuan peneliti terhadap tradisi upacara adat pareresan di Desa Sangiang yang dimaksudkan yang menjadi pokok bahasan yaitu: 1)mengetahui sejarah dan karakteristik kearifan lokal masyarakat Desa Sangiang, 2)memperoleh nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang dapat diintegrasikan dalam mata pelajaran IPS, 3) menjadikan kearifan lokal pada tradisi upacara adat pareresan Desa Sangiang sebagai bahan ajar IPS berbasis kearifan lokal. Peneliti memilih menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan alasan bahwa pendekatan kualitatif memiliki prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa lisan atau kalimat tertulis bukan angka dan sifatnya yang kontekstual. Selain itu, objek penelitian yang dihadapi merupakan gambaran kearifan lokal dalam tradisi upacara adat pareresan sehingga dengan metode kualitatif, peneliti dapat mendeskripsikan, menguraikan dan mengeksplorasi nilai kearifan lokal dan prosesi jauh lebih dalam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sangiang, Kabupaten Majalengka. Ditemukan beberapa nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang bermakna selama prosesi upacara adat pareresan yang dilaksanakan setahun sekali dan dilaksanakan di hari senin. Dua nilai paling menonjol adalah gotong royong dan nilai budaya masyarakat terkait fenomena dan kejadian tampak mata. Kedua nilai tersebut relevan dengan Kompetensi Dasar dan Kompetensi inti yang terdapat dalam materi pokok “upaya menghadapi globalisasi untuk memperkokoh kehidupan kebangsaan” pelajaran IPS kelas IX semester 1. Relevansi tersebut patut didukung dengan perancangan pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal seperti tradisi upacara adat pareresan. ;---This research begins with the research of researchers on traditional ceremonial traditions in Sangiang Village which discusses the main topics, namely: 1) studying the history and characteristics of local wisdom of the Sangiang Village community, 2) searching for local wisdom values ​​that can be integrated in various social studies lessons, 3) make local wisdom at the Sangiang Village pareresan traditional ceremony as a social wisdom teaching material based on local wisdom. Researchers chose to use qualitative for reasons related to qualitative research procedures that produce descriptive data in the form of oral or written sentences instead of numbers and contextual nature. In addition, research involves drawing local wisdom in traditional pareresan ceremonial traditions so that with qualitative methods, researchers can describe, describe and explore the value of local wisdom and processions much deeper. This research was conducted in Sangiang Village, Majalengka Regency. Found several local wisdom values ​​that were recommended during the pareresan traditional ceremonial procession which was held once and was held on Monday. The two most prominent values ​​are mutual cooperation and cultural values ​​of the people related to visible phenomena and events. Both values ​​are relevant to the Basic Competencies and core Competencies contained in the material "globalization assistance to strengthen national life" social studies class IX semester 1. Relevance is supported by the design of the development of teaching materials based on local wisdom as well as the tradition of pareresan traditional ceremonies.
