Abstract

Karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi proses konstruksi gender yang terjadi melalui media pembelajaran anak usia dini. Dengan menggunakan perspektif post-developmentalisme, peneliti mengkaji secara kritis media pembelajaran yang selalu dipandang dapat menstimulus perkembangan anak usia dini. Karya ilmiah ini menggunakan metode penelitian ethnograpi terarah, selama sekitar 2 bulan di Taman Kanak-kanak kota Bandung, Indonesia. Anak membentuk dan menunjukkan pemahamannya mengenai pemisahan aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh anak perempuan dan anak laki-laki. Selain itu, anak juga menunjukkan proses resistansi yaitu proses kompleks dimana anak meresistansi dan memperluas mana dari stimulus yang anak terima. Berdasarkan temuan peneliti, peneliti merekomendasikan agar guru dapat memiliki kesadaran yang lebih tinggi tentang bagaimana menciptakan suasana belajar menggunakan media pembelajaran anak usia dini yang lebih berkeadilan gender;---This research aims to explore the process of gender construction that occurs through early childhood learning media. By using a post-developmentalism perspective, researchers critically examine learning media that are always seen as stimulating the development of early childhood. The main objective, to see the process of gender construction that occurs in the use of early childhood learning media. This scientific work uses a directed ethnographic research method, for about 2 months in the Kindergarten in Bandung, Indonesia. Children form and demonstrate their understanding of the separation of activities carried out by girls and boys. In addition, the child also shows the resistance process, which is a complex process where the child searches for and extends which of the stimuli the child receives. This has the potential to create disparity in access to certain skills stimuli between boys and girls, but also has the potential to create opportunities for equitable gender value planting. Based on the findings of the researchers, the researcher recommends that teachers can have a higher awareness of how to create a learning atmosphere using media for early childhood learning that are more gender equitable.
