Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki bagaimana miskonsepsi siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran konseptual interaktif (Interactive Conceptual Instruction) pada materi gaya dan gerak siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest post test design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMP swasta di kota Sukabumi dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 31 siswa kelas VIII. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes dan non tes. Instrumen tes berupa soal four-tier test sebanyak 15 butir soal yang mencakup konsep Jarak dan perpindahan, kecepatan dan kelajuan, percepatan, gerak lurus beraturan (glb), gerak lurus berubah beraturan (glbb), gaya dan hukum newton. Instrument non tes berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Sebelum pembelajaran siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebanyak 34,18% dan setelah diterapkan pendekatan pembelajaran konseptual interaktif (Interactive Conceptual Instruction) miskonsepsi siswa menjadi 28,37%. Departement of Physics Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the impact of implementation of interactive conceptual learning (interactive conceptual instruction) approach on the material force and motion on students misconception. The research design used is one group pretest post test design. This research was conducted in one of middle school in Sukabumi with the number of samples of 31 students of class VIII.. The instruments used are test and non test. The test instrument is a four-tier test in 15 questions that includes the concept of distance and displacement, speed and velocity, acceleration, uniform linear motion, accelerated linear motion, force and Newton laws. Non test instrument in the form of observation sheet of learning implementation. Before the students' learning experience misconception as much as 34,18%. After learning of interactive conceptual instruction decreased misconception to 28,37%. Keywords: misconception, force and motions, interactive conceptual interaction
