Abstract

ABSTRAK Pulau Pari dan Pulau Pramuka merupakan dua gugusan pulau dari Kepulauan Seribu. Kedua pulau ini memiliki kekayaan maritim terumbu karang yang menjadi sumber pangan serta mata pencaharian masyarakat juga sebagai salah satu daya tarik wisata. Namun kegiatan dan aktivias tersebut dapat memberikan ancaman hingga dapat menimbulkan kerusakan terhadap ekosistem terumbu karang. Sehingga dilakukan kegiatan rehabilitasi terumbu karang untuk memulihkan keadaan terumbu karang yang rusak ke keadaan semula. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui metode rehabilitasi terumbu karang, menganalisis tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dan wisatawan dalam upaya konservasi dan rehabilitasi, dan menganalisis perubahan luas terumbu karang di Pulau Pari dan Pulau Pramuka. Metode yang dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, isian kuesioner dan analisis citra. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa metode rehabilitasi terumbu karang yang dilakukan di Pulau Pari dan Pulau Pramuka yaitu dengan transplantasi terumbu karang, terumbu karang buatan, dan pencangkokan. Hasil analisis partisipasi menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat Pulau Pari cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan Pulau Pramuka. Kemudian hanya sekitar 20% - 30% wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Pulau Pari dan Pulau Pramuka yang mengikuti kegiatan rehabilitasi terumbu karang. Telah terjadi penambahan dan pengurangan jumlah luasan di kedua Pulau tersebut karena beberapa faktor diantaranya adalah kondisi alam, adanya lembaga penelitian serta organisasi masyarakat, dan aktivitas masyarakat serta wisatawan. Sehingga dibutuhkan integrasi dari setiap lembaga dan komunitas terkait untuk keberhasilan penyelenggaraan kegiatan rehabilitasi terumbu karang yang optimal. Kata Kunci: Rehabilitasi, terumbu karang, partisipasi, Pulau Pari, Pulau Pramuka ABSTRACT Pari Island and Pramuka Island are group of island from the Kepulauan Seribu. Both of Islands have a maritime wealth of coral reefs which are a source of food and community livelihood also as one of the tourist attractions. However these action and activity can pose a threat so that it can cause damage on coral reef ecosystems. So that coral reef rehabilitation activities are carried to restore the damaged of coral reefs into the original state. The purpose of this research is to find out the method of coral reefs rehabilitation,, analyze the extent of the community and tourist in conservation efforts for the purpose of rehabilitation, and analyze the change of coral reefs area in Pari Island and Pramuka Island. The method used is descriptive method with descriptive statistical data analysis techniques. This research was conducted by observation technique, interview, questionnaire filling and image analysis. The results of this research noted that the coral reefs rehabilitation methods which carried out in Pari Island and Pramuka Island namely with the transplantation of artificial coral reefs and transplant. The results of participation analysis show the level of communiy participation in Pari Island tend to be higher than Pramuka Island. Then 20% - 30% the tourists who are visit to Pari Island and Pramuka Island are participated in the rehabilitation activities of coral reefs. In the area of coral reefs there were reduction in the total are of the two Island due to several factors amoung others are natural conditions, the existence of research institutions and community organizations and the activities of the community and tourist. So that the integration of each related institution and community is needed for the successful implementation of optimal coral reef rehabilitation activities.
