Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran keamanan pangan belum mencapai KKM. Salah satu alternatif untuk membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan bantuan mind mapping. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran model discovery learning dan mengetahui hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan menggunakan model tesebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK PPN Tanjungsari. Materi yang digunakan yaitu asesmen keamanan pangan, mata pelajaran keamanan pangan kelas XI, SMK jurusan Agribisnis Pengolahan Hasil Pertanian. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 3 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan pre-test dan post-test dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan bantuan mind mapping terlaksana dengan sangat baik. 2) Adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari ketercapaian KKM pada aspek kognitif sebesar 66% pada siklus I, 76% pada siklus II dan 93% pada siklus III. Kata kunci: discovery learning, mind mapping, hasil belajar ABSTRACT APPLICATION OF DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL WITH MIND MAPPING IN THE FOOD SECURITY ASSESMENT MATERIAL Nadya Bella Sondari NIM 1501286 Student learning outcomes in food safety subjects have not yet reached KKM. One alternative to help improve student learning outcomes is to use discovery learning models with the help of mindmapping. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of discovery learning models and determine student cognitive learning outcomes by using the model. This research was conducted at the Vocational School Tanjungsari. The materials used are food safety assessment, class XI food safety subjects, Vocational Schools majoring in Agricultural Product Processing. This research was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques using pre-test and post-test and observation sheet implementation of the learning model. The results showed 1) The implementation of discovery learning models with the help of mindmapping was carried out very well. 2) An increase in student learning outcomes can be seen from the achievement of KKM in the cognitive aspects of 66% in the first cycle, 76% in the second cycle and 93% in the third cycle.
