Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman konsep di SMAN 14 Bandung yang masih rendah yang dibuktikan dengan hasil pra-penelitian. Metode yang berpusat pada guru dalam pembelajaran dan pelajaran yang hanya bersifat hafalan mengakibatkan siswa tidak dapat menguasai konsep pada mata pelajaran ekonomi khususnya materi ketenagakerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament (TGT) terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 14 Bandung. Kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas XI IPS 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa tes tertulis yang berbentuk pilihan ganda. Analisis data menggunakan uji t (paired-sample t test dan independent sample t test). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep kelas eksperimen antara sebelum dan setelah diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament (TGT), serta terdapat perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman konsep kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori sedang, dan kelas kontrol berada pada kategori rendah yang disebabkan oleh perbedaan pemberian treatmen dan tahapan–tahapan belajar. apabila dilihat dari hasil N-Gain pretest dan posttest. Adanya temuan mengenai perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model kooperatif tipe TGT dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah dalam penelitian ini, model pembelajaran TGT diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa baik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi maupun pada mata pelajaran lainnya. Teacher-centered methods of learning and learning that only teach memorization that makes students unable to understand the concepts of economic learning material employment.This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the application of the cooperative learning model teams games tournament (TGT) type on the understanding of student concepts in economic subject. The research method used was nonequivalent control group design. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS of SMAN 14 Bandung. While XI IPS 2 as the control class and students of class XI IPS 3 as the experimental class. The research instrument was in the form of a written test in the form of multiple choices. Data analysis using t test (paired-sample t test and independent sample t test). The results of this study indicate that there are differences in understanding the concept of the experimental class between before and after being treated with the cooperative learning model of the types of teams games tournament (TGT), and there is a difference in the increase of concept understanding of the experimental class that is treated with a Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model while the control class uses the varied lecture method. Improvement of concept understanding of the experimental class is in the medium category, and the control class is in the low category caused by differences in the treatment and stages of learning. from the results of the N-Gain pretest and posttest. The findings regarding differences in concept understanding between the experimental class using the TGT type cooperative model and the control class using the lecture method in this study, the TGT learning model is expected to be a reference for developing students' concept understanding abilities both in economic subjects and in other subjects.
