Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena kematangan karir peserta didik SMK. Peserta didik SMK yang masuk pada kategori remaja menunjukkan adanya fenomena kesenjangan antara tugas perkembangan karir yang harus dicapai dengan ketidakmampuan peserta didik dalam menentukan studi lanjutan atau bekerja, padahal seharusnya peserta didik sekolah menengah sudah mulai memikirkan masa depan mereka secara sungguh-sungguh, dan juga dapat dikatakan memiliki kesiapan dalam membuat keputusan karir yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran profil kematangan karir peserta didik SMK serta merumuskan program bimbingan karir berdasarkan profil kematangan karir peserta didik.Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 618 responden dengan dengan menggunakan angket tertutup serta menggunakan skala Likert, pengumpulan data menggunakan angket kematangan karir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kematangan karir peserta didik kelas XI SMK Negeri Rajapolah berada pada kategori cukup matang yang berarti peserta didik cukup mampu memahami dan melakukan tindakan sesuai kriteria kematangan karir. Rumusan program bimbingan karir dapat digunakan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling sebagai upaya untuk mengembangkan kematangan karir melalui layanan-layanan yang telah disusun. ;---The background in this research is phenomenon career maturity of Vocational students.Vocational students who enter the adolescent category show a phenomenon of inequality between career development tasks that must be achieved with the inability of students to determine further or work studies, whereas high school students should have started to think about their future seriously, and also can said to have preparedness in making the right career decisions.The purpose of this study is to describe the career maturity profile of vocational students and formulate career guidance programs based on the profile of career maturity of students.The research approach used is a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The research sample was 618 respondents using a closed questionnaire and using a Likert scale, data collection using a career maturity questionnaire. The results of the study show that in general the career maturity of students of class XI of the State Vocational School of Rajapolah is in a fairly mature category which means that students are sufficiently able to understand and take action according to career maturity criteria. Formulation of career guidance programs can be used by guidance and counseling teachers as an effort to develop career maturity through services that have been prepared.
