Abstract

Desa Banyusari merupakan daerah yang paling rendah konsumsi ikannya di Kabupaten Bandung, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor salah satunya adalah pengetahuan ibu rumah tangganya tentang ikan, pengetahuan ini meliputi pemilihan ikan, teknik memasak ikan dan jenis olahan ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga tentang pemilihan ikan yang baik, anjuran jumlah konsumsi ikan yang baik, teknik memasak ikan yang tepat dan jenis olahan-olahan ikan yang umum dikonsumsi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster sampling dengan jumlah sampel adalah sebanyak 94 orang ibu rumah tangga. Hasil penelitian pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga tentang ikan di Desa Banyusari memperoleh rata-rata skor yaitu 52,8. Terkait pemilihan ikan 65,7% termasuk ke dalam kategori cukup, teknik memasak ikan 64,9% termasuk ke dalam kategori cukup dan jenis olahan ikan 67,2% termasuk kedalm kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukan perlu ditingkatkan terkait pengetahuan pemilihan ikan, jumlah konsumsi ikan dan teknik memasak ikan. Rekomendasi penelitian ini perlu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang ikan lewat penyuluhan oleh Dinas Pangan dan Perikanan Kabupaten Bandung mengenai manfaat makan ikan dan mengolahnya. This study aims to determine the knowledge of housewives about the selection of good fish, the recommended amount of fish consumption, proper fish cooking techniques, and the types of processed fish that are commonly consumed. The method used is descriptive quantitative approach. Sampling used a cluster sampling technique with a total sample of 94 housewives. The results of research on housewife knowledge about fish in Banyusari Village obtained an average score of 52.8. Regarding the selection of fish 65.7% included in the category enough, fish cooking techniques 64.9% included in the category enough and types of processed fish 67.2% included in the good category. This shows the need for improvement related to fish selection knowledge, the amount of fish consumption and fish cooking techniques. The recommendations of this study need to increase knowledge about fish through counseling by the Bandung District Food and Fisheries Service regarding the benefits of eating fish and processing it.
