Abstract

Prestasi akademik merupakan hal penting dalam suatu proses pendidikan, bahkan merupakan hasil suatu proses pendidikan. Penurunan prestasi akademik disebabkan karena proses pendidikan yang terhambat oleh unsur-unsur pendidikan. Oleh pemerintah, unsur-unsur pendidikan dirumuskan dalam delapan Standar Nasional Pendidikan, yaitu standar isi, standar proses, standar pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, standar kompetensi lulusan, standar sarana prasarana, standar pengelolaan, standar pembiayaan, dan standar penilaian pendidikan. Peneliti mengambil unsur pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan serta sarana prasarana. Dengan metode penelitian kualitatif dan analisa SWOT, dapat diketahui bahwa pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan serta sarana prasarana sangat mempengaruhi proses pendidikan. Analisa SWOT mengajak untuk melihat dengan cermat faktor internal (kekuatan dan kelemahan) serta faktor eksternal (peluang dan ancaman) pada obyek penelitian, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan serta sarana prasarana. Langkah berikutnya adalah melakukan FGD, yaitu pengumpulan data melalui diskusi kelompok yang terarah pada kedua unsur pendidikan tersebut. Selanjutnya dilakukan matriks TOWS, yaitu suatu manajemen strategik untuk menentukan strategi yang tepat dan penting dengan mengkombinasikan kekuatan dengan peluang dan ancaman serta mengkombinasikan kelemahan dengan peluang dan ancaman. Strategi harus mampu mengoptimalisaikan unsur pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan serta sarana prasarana demi peningkatan prestasi akademik.;---Academic achievement is important in an educational process, even the result of an educational process. The decline in academic achievement is due to the education process that is hampered by the elements of education. By the government, the elements of education are formulated in eight National Education Standards, namely content standards, process standards, educator standards and education personnel, graduate competency standards, infrastructure standards, management standards, financing standards, and educational assessment standards. Researchers take the elements of educators and educational personnel and infrastructure facilities. With qualitative research methods and SWOT analysis, it can be seen that educators and education personnel as well as facilities snagat infrastructure affect the educational process. SWOT analysis invites to look closely at internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) as well as external factors (opportunities and threats) on research objects, especially those related to educators and education personnel as well as infrastructure facilities. The next step is to conduct FGD, ie data collection through focus group discussions on both elements of the education. The TOWS matrix is then undertaken, which is a strategic management to determine the right and important strategy by combining forces with opportunities and threats and combining weaknesses with opportunities and threats. The strategy should be able to optimize the elements of educators and educational personnel and infrastructure facilities for the improvement of academic achievement.
