Abstract

Tahun 2012 Kabupaten Pangandaran ditetapkan menjadi daerah otonom baru yang memiliki visi “Kabupaten Pangandaran Pada tahun 2025 menjadi kabupaten pariwisata yang mendunia, tempat tinggal yang aman dan nyaman berlandaskan norma agama”, dengan potensi yang dimiliki penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi Desa Batukaras menjadi desa wisata serta menganalisis strategi pengembangan terhadap desa Batukaras. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, studi litelatur, studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dengan pengharkatan dan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: 1) Potensi desa berdasarkan daya tarik termasuk kelas II cukup, kondisi fisik termasuk kelas I baik, faktor pendukung termasuk kelas II cukup, pengelolaan destinasi termasuk kelas II cukup, pengembangan destinasi kelas II cukup. 2) Strategi pengembangan yang perlu dilakukan diantaranya: Menonjolkan beragam jenis kesenian adat dan budaya, Melengkapi sarana dan prasarana, Mengkombinasikan potensi alam dan budaya menjadi paket wisata, meningkatkan promosi, Pembinaan terhadap pengelola destinasi wisata, meningkatkan kerjasama antara masyarakat, pengelola wisata dan instansi terkait dalam pengembangan desa wisata;---In 2012, Pangandaran Residence was determined as a new autonomous region which possesses vision “Pangandaran Residence in 2025 becomes a world widely acclaimed tourist destination residence, safe and comfortable place of living based on religious norms”. This research is to identify the potency of Batukaras Village to become a tourist destination and to analyse the strategy of Batukaras potency. Method used in this research is descriptive with data collection technique is observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation study. The analysis of the data was done by rating and SWOT analysis. The result shows that 1) The village’s potency based on attractiveness belongs to class II or enough, physical condition belongs to class I or good, primary supporting factor is in class II or enough, management belong to class II or enough, potency belongs to class II or enough. 2) The necessary strategies to do are: to accentuate various cultures, to complete infrastructures, to combine natural condition and cultures to be tour package, to improve promotion, to train and coach the village superintendents, to improve collaboration with the community, and to involve superintendents and related departments regarding the potency of the tourist destination village.
