Abstract

Berkembangnya teknologi digital seperti komputer dan mesin digital printing di bidang industri tekstil mempermudah bagi desainer digital printing tekstil untuk menghasilkan produk tekstil dengan berbagai macam motif dalam waktu yang lebih singkat, jumlah warna dan ukuran pola motif yang tidak terbatas, serta motif yang dirancang dapat diwujudkan pada berbagai jenis tekstil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data mengenai manfaat hasil belajar perancangan tekstil dan fesyen digital sebagai kesiapan menjadi desainer digital printing tekstil. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling yaitu mahasiswa Program Studi Kriya Tekstil dan Mode Universitas Telkom pada angkatan 2016 dengan melalui pertimbangan yaitu mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti mata kuliah perancangan tekstil dan fesyen digital berjumlah 60 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lebih dari setengahnya mahasiswa merasakan manfaat hasil belajar perancangan tekstil dan fesyen digital yang dapat memberikan bekal pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada mahasiswa sebagai kesiapan menjadi desainer digital printing tekstil ditinjau dari indikator pemahaman konsep dasar graphic design software meliputi CorelDraw dan Adobe Photoshop, teknik pembuatan motif menggunakan CorelDraw dan Adobe Photoshop, serta teknik pembuatan drapping (pemberian warna atau motif) pada sketsa model dan model foto menggunakan Adobe Photoshop;---The development of digital technology such as computers and digital printing machines in the textile industry makes it easy for digital printing textile designers to produce textile products with a variety of motifs in a shorter time, the number of colors and sizes of motifs are unlimited, and the motifs designed can be realized in various types of textiles. The purpose of this study was to obtain data about the learning outcomes benefits of textile and fashion digital design as readiness into digital printing textile designers. The method used is descriptive research method. The sample in this study used simple random sampling technique, namely college students of Textile and Fashion Craft Study Program at Telkom University in 2016 through consideration that college students who have attended lesson textile and fashion digital design amounted to 60 people. The research instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. The results showed more than half of the college students felt the learning outcomes benefits of textile and fashion digital design that can provide college students with knowledge and skills as a readiness to become a digital printing textile designers in terms of an understanding indicator of the basic concepts of graphic design software including CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop, motif making techniques using CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop, and drapping (giving colors or motifs) making techniques to sketches of models and photo models using Adobe Photoshop.
