Abstract

Nadiem Anwar Makarim, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan yang baru dilantik pada Oktober 2019 lalu memberi pesan mendalam pada para guru, yakni menjadikan guru sebagai ujung tombak bangsa untuk menciptakan generasi penerus yang inovatif dan maju. Dia menitikberatkan tugas guru adalah hal yang tersulit. Oleh sebab itu, perlunya guru diberikan perhatian khusus, baik oleh kementerian, dinas pendidikan, dan yang berkaitan langsung dengan para guru, yakni organisasi sekolah, yang dikepalai kepala sekolah. Fokus utama peneliti adalah motivasi kerja para guru SMPN 2 Cianjur. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi kerja dan yang menarik peneliti adalah gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif. SMPN 2 Cianjur merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak pada bidang Pendidikan formal tingkat menengah pertama, sehingga banyak perubahan kebijakan yang menyebabkan motivasi kerja menurun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran mengenai gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif dan motivasi kerja pada SMPN 2 Cianjur, serta pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif terhadap motivasi kerja. Jenis metode penelitian adalah metode deskriptif dan verifikatif dengan populasi dalam penelitian sejumlah 55 guru dan responden berjumlah 55 guru karena menggunakan sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah koefisien korelasi pearson product moment dan analisis regresi sederhana. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukan gambaran gaya kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja tinggi. Perhitungan korelasi menunjukan gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif dengan motivasi kerja memiliki hubungan positif dengan klasifikasi sedang. Pada nilai R Square motivasi kerja dipengaruhi gaya kepemimpinan dalam posisi sedang. Kata Kunci : Gaya Kepemimpinan Partisipatif, Motivasi kerja ABSTRACT Erlando Posman Sansa Simanullang (1204309), "The Influence of Principal's Participatory Leadership Style on Work Motivation (Study of Teachers of Cianjur Public Junior Middle School 2)", under the guidance of Askolani, S.E, M.M and Annisa Ciptagustia, S.E, M.Si. Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Anwar Makarim, who was just inaugurated last October 2019, gave a deep message to teachers, namely to make teachers as the spearhead of the nation to create innovative and advanced future generations. He emphasized the teacher's task was the hardest thing. Therefore, the need for teachers is given special attention, both by the ministry, the education office, and those directly related to the teachers, namely the school organization, headed by the principal. The main focus of the researchers was the work motivation of the teachers of Cianjur Junior Middle School 2. Many factors influence work motivation and what attracts researchers is participatory leadership style. Cianjur Junior Middle School 2 is a company engaged in the field of junior secondary formal education, so many policy changes that cause work motivation to decline. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of participatory leadership style and work motivation at Cianjur 2 Junior Middle School, as well as the influence of participatory leadership style on work motivation. The type of research method is descriptive and verification method with a population of 55 teachers and 55 respondents as respondents because they use saturated samples. The analysis technique used is Pearson product moment correlation coefficient and simple regression analysis. Hypothesis testing uses t test and F test. The research results show a picture of leadership style and high work motivation. Correlation calculation shows that participatory leadership style with work motivation has a positive relationship with a moderate classification. On the value of R square work motivation is influenced by leadership style in a moderate position. Keywords: Participatory Leadership Style, Work motivation
