Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan miskonsepsi siswa pada materi sistem pencernaan melalui pembelajaran berbasis praktikum sederhana. Praktikum sederhana yang dilakukan adalah uji kandungan vitamin C dengan titrasi iodine dan uji formalin dengan kunyit. Praktikum sederhana berarti menggunakan alat dan bahan yang sederhana yakni mudah ditemukan dan pengoperasiannya juga mudah. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas XI SMA di Kota Bandung sebanyak satu kelas. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode weak experimental. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Penurunan miskonsepsi siswa ditinjau dari hasil pretest dan post-test. Setelah pembelajaran diberikan angket untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis alat praktikum sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat sederhana mampu menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa, dengan rata-rata penurunan miskonsepsi sebesar 72%. Miskonsepsi siswa dilihat berdasarkan analisis perubahan konseptualnya. Perubahan konseptual tipe Pola 1 yakni perubahan ke arah positif (paham konsep) menunjukkan presentase tertinggi sebesar 68%. Penurunan miskonsepsi tertinggi ditemukan pada konsep zat makanan, sedangkan penurunan miskonsepsi terendah ditemukan pada konsep hubungan struktur dan bioproses. Hasil angket menunjukkan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum sederhana pada materi sistem pencernaan mendapatkan respon positif karena mampu menurunkan miskonsepsi serta meningkatkan motivasi siswa. ;---This study aims to determine the decrease in students' misconceptions in the digestive system material through simple practicum-based learning. The simple practicum that was carried out was the test of vitamin C content by titrating iodine and formalin test with turmeric. Simple practicum means using simple tools and materials that are easy to find and the operation is also easy. This research was conducted on high school class XI students in Bandung as much as one class. The research method used was a weak experimental method. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling. Decrease in student misconceptions in terms of pretest and post-test results. After learning, a questionnaire is given to find out students' responses to simple practicum-based learning tools. The results showed that a simple tool was able to reduce student misconceptions, with an average reduction in misconceptions of 72%. Students' misconceptions are seen based on the analysis of conceptual changes. Conceptual change type Pattern 1 is a change towards positive (understanding the concept) showing the highest percentage of 68%. The highest decrease in misconceptions was found in the concept of food substances, while the lowest decrease in misconception was found in the concept of structural and bioprocess relationships. The questionnaire results show that simple practicum-based learning on the digestive system material gets a positive response because it can reduce misconceptions and increase students’ motivation
