Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan friendship jealousy dengan kepuasan dan kuaitas persahabatan pada remaja di kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan partisipan berjumlah 400 orang remaja dengan proporsi 214 orang SMA/SMK dan 186 orang SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen friendship jealousy quetionnare untuk mengukur friendship jealousy. Relationship Assesment Scale untuk mengukur kepuasan persahabatan, dan Friendship Quality Scale untuk mengukur kualitas persahabatan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara friendship jealousy dengan kepuasan persahabatan. Terdapat hubungan yang positif antara friendship jealousy dengan kualitas persahabatan, namun korelasi kedua variabel tersebut rendah. Artinya, terdapat kecenderungan partisipan yang jealousy, kualitas persahabatannya cenderung tinggi atau sebaliknya. Hal tersebut hanya terjadi pada sebagian kecil partisipan, sedangkan pada sebagian pertisipan yang lain berbeda. Rekomendasi untuk peneliti selanjutnya sebaiknya meneliti juga sahabatnya partisipan dalam penelitian ini. ..... This study has a purpose to know the relationship friendship jealousy with satisfaction and friendship quality in adolescents in Bandung. The method of this research used is a quantitative method which had 400 participants of adolescents which were from Senior High School about 214 participants and 186 participants from Junior High School. The researcher used the friendship jealousy questionnaire instrument in this study to measure the friendship jealousy, the Relationship Assessment Scale to measure the friendship satisfaction, and the Friendship Quality Scale to measure the friendship quality. The result of this study proves that there is some positive relevancy between the friendship jealousy and the friendship quality, however; the positive correlation between both variables is weak. It means there is some participant tendency to be jealous, the quality of their friendship tends to be high or vice versa. This only occurs in a small part of participants meanwhile in the other participants are different. Recommendations for future researchers should also examine their friends participants in this study.
