Abstract

Kota Cirebon memiliki budaya lokal yang sangat kaya, tapi apa jadinya jika warga Cirebon asli tidak mengenal sama sekali budaya daerah tempat lahirnya, padahal budaya lokal merupakan identitas bangsa yang harus dilestarikan. Berdasarkan hasil obeservasi dengan instrumen wawan cara di SMPN 1 Cirebon, menunjukan bahwa 80% siswa kelas VII tidak mengenal budaya lokal kota Cirebon, mereka lebih mengenal budaya luar negeri. Maka perlu adanya upaya untuk melestarikan budaya lokal kota Cirebon supaya identitas bangsa Indonesia tetap berdiri kokoh. Upaya yang harus dilakukan yaitu melakukan pengembangan multimedia berbasis budaya lokal kota Cirebon. Jenis metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, metode ini termasuk ke dalam metode kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang pelestarian budaya lokal melalui multimedia pembelajaran, dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Perancangan multimedia pembelajaran tentang pelestarian budaya lokal Cirebon untuk siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Kota Cirebon terdiri dari sumber referensi budaya lokal Cirebon, konten media, strorybioard flash, dan perancangan multimedia. (2) Penerapan multimedia pembelajaran tentang pelestarian budaya lokal Cirebon untuk siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Kota Cirebon terlaksana dengan baik. (3) Pemahaman siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Kota Cirebon tentang pelestarian budaya local Cirebon sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran memiliki kriteria sangat baik. ..... The city of Cirebon has a very rich local culture, but what happens if the original Cirebon people do not know the culture of the region where they were born, even though local culture is a national identity that must be preserved. Based on the results of observations with an instrument of way of interviewing at SMPN 1 Cirebon, shows that 80% of seventh grade students do not know the local culture of Cirebon city, they are more familiar with foreign culture. So there needs to be an effort to preserve the local culture of the city of Cirebon so that the identity of the Indonesian people remains firmly established. The effort that must be done is to develop multimedia based on the local culture of the city of Cirebon. The type of method that the writer uses in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, this method is included in the qualitative method. Based on the results of research on the preservation of local culture through multimedia learning, it can be concluded that (1) The design of multimedia learning about Cirebon local cultural preservation for grade VII students of Cirebon 1 State Junior High School consists of Cirebon local cultural reference sources, media content, strorybioard flash, and multimedia design . (2) The application of multimedia learning about the preservation of Cirebon local culture to students of class VII of SMPN 1 City of Cirebon is well implemented. (3) Understanding of the seventh grade students of Cirebon City 1 Junior High School about preserving Cirebon local culture before and after using multimedia learning has very good criteria.
