Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Modél Pangajaran Word Square dina pangajaran Ngaregepkeun Dongéng”. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan menyimak dongeng siswa kelas VII-C SMPN 2 Kasokandel dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Sunda. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dan efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Word Square dalam pembelajaran menyimak dongeng di kelas VII-C SMPN 2 Kasokandel. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretes dan postes. Sumber data yang diambil yaitu kelas VII-C SMPN 2 Kasokandel yang bejumlah 30 orang dengan rincian laki-laki 17 orang dan perempuan 13 orang. Variabel yang digunakan, yaitu penggunaan Modél Word Square sebagai variabel bebas, prestasi belajar menyimak dongeng sebagai variabel terikat. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data, yaitu tes pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistika t test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar menyimak dongeng siswa kelas VII-C sebelum menggunakan Modél Word Square yaitu 53, sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar setelah menggunakan Modél Word Square adalah 81, Setelah dilakukan analisis statistika dengan t tes, diperoleh harga thitung = 12,68 > ttabel = 2,29. Dengan demikian, terbukti bahwa Modél Word Square dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar menyimak dongeng pada kelas VII-C SMPN 2 Kasokandel. Efektivitas penggunaan Modél Word Square dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar menyimak dongeng adalah 28,66%. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, Word Square, menyimak dongeng. The title of this research is “A Teaching Model of Word Square in Teaching a Tale-Listening Competence”. The background of this research was the low competence of grade-VII-C student of SMPN Kasokandel in listening tales in Sundanese language course. It was intended to find out the increases in learning results and the effectiveness of Word Square Learning Model in learning a tale-listening competence at grade VII-C of SMPN 2 Kasokandel. The method used was a quasi-experiment by a research design of pretest and posttest. The data source was grade VII-C of SMPN 2 Kasokandel in amount of 30 students, consisting of 17 males and 13 females. The variables used were the use of Word Square Model as the independent variable and the achievement of learning of tale-listening as the dependent variable. The method used in data collection was a multiple choice test. The data obtained was then analyzed by using a statistic analysis of t-test. Based on the research findings, it was known that the average results of learning tale-listening of the grade-VII-C students before using the Word Square Model was 53, and that of after using the Word Square Model was 81. Based on a statistic analysis of t-test, it was found that the value of t¬count = 12.68 > ttable = 2.29. Thus, it was proved that the Word Square Model could enhance the results of learning tale-listening in grade VII-C of SMPN 2 Kasokandel in. The effectiveness of using the Word Square Model in enhancing the results of learning tale-listening was 28.66^. Keywords: learning model, Word Square, tale-listening
