Abstract

Peluang bisnis ikan sidat sangat menjanjikan, karena kebutuhan ekspor ikan sidat semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya. Namun kebutuhan tersebut belum dapat terpenuhi secara maksimal. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh tingginya angka kematian sidat pada fase glass eel. Air dan sirkulasi budidaya merupakan unsur penting dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan glass eel. Parameter untuk menjaga kualitas air budidaya antara lain pH, kadar kelarutan oksigen (DO), kadar total padatan terlarut (TDS), suhu, kadar nitrat, dan kadar nitrit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemantauan dan pengelolaan kualitas air budidaya terhadap kondisi pertumbuhan, kinetika laju pertumbuhan, dan persentase mortalitas budidaya glass eel Anguilla bicolor bicolor. Tahapan penelitian meliputi tahap persiapan budidaya glass eel, aklimatisasi, dan budidaya glass eel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa parameter kimia air yang baik untuk air budidaya glass eel Anguilla bicolor bicolor yaitu pH 7,25 ± 0,40 , kadar TDS sebesar 193 ± 6 ppm, kadar DO sebesar 7,25±0,32 ppm, konsentrasi nitrat sebesar 0,41 ± 0,30 ppm, konsentrasi nitrit sebesar nitrit 0,88 ± 1,34 ppm, Persentase mortalitas glass eel sebesar 59%. Kinetika laju pertumbuhan glass eel yaitu kinetika laju orde ke-1 dan pertumbuhan massa glass eel Anguilla bicolor bicolor sebesar 0,006 gram/hari. Bussiness of Anguilla bicolor bicolor are very promising, because the exports is increase every year. But these it can’t be fulfilled to the standard. Because Anguilla bicolor bicolor have a high mortality in phase of glass eels . Water and recirculating aquaculture are an important element in the growth and development of glass eel. Parameters to keep the water quality of aquaculture include pH, levels of dissolved oxygen (DO) levels of total dissolved solids (TDS), temperature, nitrate and nitrite levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality monitoring and management of aquaculture on the growth conditions, the kinetics of growth rate, and the percentage of mortality of aquaculture glass eel Anguilla bicolor bicolor. Stages of research include glass eel cultivation preparation, acclimatization and cultivation of glass eel. The results showed that the water chemistry parameters were good for cultivating water glass eel Anguilla bicolor bicolor is pH 7.25 ± 0.40, TDS levels of 193 ± 6 ppm, the DO level at 7.25 ± 0.32 ppm, the concentration of nitrate at 0.41 ± 0.30 ppm, nitrite concentration of nitrite of 0.88 ± 1.34 ppm, percentage of glass eel mortality by 59%. Kinetics of the growth rate of glass eel that order rate kinetics to-1 and growth of the mass of glass eel Anguilla bicolor bicolor 0.006 grams / day.
