Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA kelas XII pada topik sifat kimia karbohidrat melalui pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian campuran (mixed method). Desain penelitian yang digunakan concurrent triangulation designs. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas XII yang berjumlah 28 orang di salah satu SMA negeri di kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes tertulis uraian terbatas dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dihitung dengan rumus N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada topik sifat kimia karbohidrat dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa secara keseluruhan. Nilai N-Gain keseluruhan indikator keterampilan proses sains adalah 0,65 dengan kriteria sedang. Nilai N-Gain keterampilan proses sains dengan peningkatan tertinggi pada indikator menggunakan alat/bahan/sumber (N-Gain = 1,00) dan peningkatan terendah pada indikator meramalkan (N-Gain = 0,21). Indikator keterampilan proses sains yang paling dikuasai kelompok tinggi dan sedang adalah menggunakan alat/bahan/sumber (N-Gain = 1,00), sedangkan kelompok rendah adalah menggunakan alat/bahan/sumber (N-Gain = 1,00) dan mengelompokkan (N-Gain = 1,00). Indikator keterampilan proses sains yang kurang dikuasai kelompok tinggi dan sedang adalah meramalkan (N-Gain kelompok tinggi = 0; N-Gain kelompok sedang = 0,19), sedangkan kelompok rendah adalah mengajukan pertanyaan (N-Gain = 0,25). Berdasarkan hasil observasi pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing topik sifat kimia karbohidrat menunjukan keterlaksanaan kegiatan guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran masing-masing 86,85% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Proses Sains, LKS Berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing, Sifat Kimia Karbohidrat This research aims to enhance the science process skills of twelfth grade high school students on the topic chemical properties of carbohydrate through learning using guided inquiry-based student worksheets. The research method used mixed method research. The research design was used concurrent triangulation designs. The participants of this research were twelfth grade high school student consist of 28 students at one of state high school in the Bandung city. The research instruments were written test with restricted-response essays and observation sheet of learning implementation. The enhancement of the science process skills was calculated by the N-Gain formula. The results showed learning used guided inquiry-based student worksheets on the topic chemical properties of carbohydrate could enhance science process skills for all students. The overall N-Gain value for science process skill indicators were 0.65 with medium criteria. The N-Gain value of science process skill with the highest enhancement in using apparatus/subtance/sources indicator (N-Gain = 1.00) and the lowest enhancement in predicting indicator (N-Gain = 0.21). The science process skill indicator most dominated by high and middle groups were using apparatus/subtance/sources (N-Gain = 1,00), meanwhile low group was using apparatus/subtance/sources (N-Gain = 1,00) and classifying (N-Gain = 1,00). The science process skill indicator less dominated by high and middle groups were predicting (N-Gain high group = 0; N-Gain middle group = 0,19), meanwhile low group was asking questions (N-Gain = 0,25). Based on the observation results of learning used guided inquiry-based student worksheets on the topic chemical properties of carbohydrate showed the implementation of teacher and students activities in learning each was 86,85% with very good criteria.
