Abstract

Penelitian diawali dari hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik yang masih rendah berdasarkan nilai rata-rata ulangan pada salah satu kompetensi dasar. Salah satu upaya yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan media animasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk mengetahui penerapan media animasi pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik di SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah. (2) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media animasi pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik di SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode true-experimental dengan bentuk desain pretest-posttest control group design. Eksperimen dilakukan pada siswa kelas X DPIB 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan X DPIB 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Perlakuan pada kelas kontrol menggunakan media papan tulis, sementara pada kelas eksperimen menggunakan media animasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan lembar observasi sikap siswa. Penerapan media animasi sesuai dengan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Berdasarkan hasil lembar observasi sikap siswa, rata-rata skor siswa kelas kontrol termasuk dalam kategori baik, sementara rata-rata skor siswa kelas eksperimen termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan analisis data, diketahui bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media animasi pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.; This research was began due to the students' average grade in Engineering Mechanics lesson which was still low based on the average grade of test in one of the basic competencies. One of the effort to overcome that matter is by applying animation media. The aims of this study are: (1) to understand the application of animation media in Engineering Mechanics lesson in SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah, (2) to understand the enhancement of students' output after using animation media in Engineering Mechanics lesson in SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah. The method used in this research was true-experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. The experiment was done to the students of X DPIB 1 class as the control class and X DPIB 2 class as the experimental class. The handling in the control class was done by using whiteboard media, while in the experiment class used animation media. The instruments used in this research were a test and observation sheet of students' attitude. The application of animation media was done based on Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Based on the result of students' attitude observation sheet, the average score of the students in the control class belonged to good category, while the average score of the students in the experimental class belonged to excellent category. From the data analysis, it was known that the enhancement of students' output in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of animation media in Engineering Mechanics lesson can increase the students' learning output.
