Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) apakah kemampuan analisis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah lebih baik daripada kemampuan analisis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran langsung; (2) seberapa besar pengaruh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah terhadap kemampuan analisis matematis siswa; (3) apakah kemampuan sintesis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah lebih baik daripada kemampuan sintesis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran langsung; (4) seberapa besar pengaruh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah terhadap kemampuan sintesis matematis siswa; (5) Bagaimana sikap siswa SMK terhadap pendekatan pemecahan masalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan analisis dan sintesis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK PUI Cikijing Majalengka pada tahun ajaran 2012/2013 semester genap. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan pemecahan masalah. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 77 siswa, 37 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 40 siswa kelas kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling pada siswa kelas X. Kemampuan analisis dan sintesis matematis diukur dengan menggunakan tes essai yang terdiri dari 8 soal uraian, dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,84. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kemampuan analisis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah tidak lebih baik daripada kemampuan analisis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran langsung; (2) pengaruh yang ditimbulkan dari penerapan pendekatan pemecahan masalah terhadap kemampuan analisis adalah sebesar 0,05, nilai tersebut termasuk kepada kategori sangat kecil. (3) kemampuan sintesis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah lebih baik daripada kemampuan sintesis matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran langsung; (4) pengaruh yang ditimbulkan dari penerapan pendekatan pemecahan masalah terhadap kemampuan sintesis adalah sebesar 0,74, nilai tersebut termasuk kepada kategori besar; (5) sebagian besar siswa SMK menunjukkan sikap negatif terhadap pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan analisis dan sintesis matematis. The purpose of this research was to determine (1) whether the mathematical analytical skills of students who received learning with problem-solving approach is better than mathematical analytical skills of students who received direct instruction, (2) how much influence the learning by problem-solving approach to the analysis of students' mathematical ability, (3) whether the ability of the synthesis mathematical learning of students who received problem-solving approach is better than the synthesis of mathematical skills of students who received direct instruction, (4) how much influence learning by problem-solving approach to the synthesis of students' mathematical ability, (5) What is the attitude towards vocational students problem-solving approach to improve students' mathematical analysis and synthesis. The research was conducted at SMK PUI Cikijing Majalengka in the academic year 2012/2013 second semester. The approach used in this study is a problem-solving approach. Subjects in this study amounted to 77 students, 37 students experiment class and the control class of 40 students obtained by random cluster sampling technique in class X. Analysis and synthesis of mathematical ability were measured using an essay test consisting of 8 questions description, with a reliability coefficient of 0.84. The results showed that (1) the ability of mathematical analysis that gets students learning with problem-solving approach is no better than the mathematical analytical skills of students who received direct instruction, (2) effects arising from the application of problem-solving approach to the analysis is the ability of 0.05 , the value of including the very small category. (3) synthesis of mathematical ability of students who received learning with problem-solving approach is better than the synthesis of mathematical skills of students who received direct instruction, (4) the effect arising from the application of problem-solving approach to the synthesis capability is equal to 0.74, the value of including the broad categories, (5) the majority of vocational students showed a negative attitude towards learning with problem-solving approach to improve the mathematical skills of analysis and synthesis.
