Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengujicobakan metode CATU (CAri, Tulis kembali, dan Uji) berbantuan aplikasi Video Scribe. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode CATU berbantuan aplikasi Video Scribe dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode terlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian non equivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII E sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP N 2 Bandung dengan jumlah 30 orang di setiap kelasnya. Hasil prates kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 68,5 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 57,38. Hasil pascates kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 83 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 57,83. Berdasarkan hasil hipotesis diperoleh 0,000 < signifikansi 0,005. Maka, H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya metode CATU berbantuan aplikasi Video Scribe.;--This research is motivated because of the low reading comprehension ability of students. This research tested the SRT (Search, Rewrite, and Tets) method with the Video Scribe application. The purpose of this research is to find out if there is a significant difference between experimental classes using SRT methods of assisted Video Scribe applications with the control class using the most direct method. This research used the method of quasi experimentation with non-equivalent control group design research. The samples in this study were students of class VIII E as an experimental class and class VIII C as a control class in SMP N 2 Bandung with 30 people in each class. Results of the experimental class Prates show an average value of 68.5 and a control class of 57.38. The results for the experimental class Pascates show an average value of 83 and a control class of 57.83. Based on the hypothesis results obtained 0.000 < significance 0.005. Thus, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. There is a significant difference in the ability to read learners ' understanding before and after it is applied to the Video Scribe application.
