Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan petunjuk praktikum kimia SMA kelas XI pada topik kapasitas larutan penyangga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development sampai tahap pengembangan model yaitu uji coba terbatas. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa SMA kelas XII, sembilan guru kimia SMA/sederajat dan petunjuk praktikum yang terdapat dalam bahan ajar SMA kelas XI, dengan instrumen penelitian berupa pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi praktikum, tugas dan pertanyaan yang terdapat dalam petunjuk praktikum, angket respons siswa serta lembar penilaian guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petunjuk praktikum yang terdapat dalam bahan ajar Kimia SMA kelas XI yang dikaji memiliki karakterisitik bahan yang digunakan mudah diperoleh namun alat yang digunakan sulit diperoleh serta komponen petunjuk praktikum tidak lengkap sedangkan karakteristik petunjuk praktikum yang dikembangkan adalah menggunakan alat dan bahan yang mudah diperoleh, perosedur kerja yang mudah dilakukan serta memiliki komponen petunjuk praktikum yang lengkap. Berdasarkan hasil uji keterlaksanaan, respons siswa, dan penilaian guru, kualitas petunjuk praktikum pada topik kapasitas larutan penyangga yang dikembangkan termasuk kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata penilaian berturut-turut sebesar 83,56%, 81% dan 85,80%. The purpose of this research is to develop a chemistry lab work instructions of Senior High School at class XI on the topic about the capacity of the buffer solution. The method used in the research was the Research and Development to the stage of model development, a limited testing. The data sources of this research were 20 students at XII grade of Senior High School, 9 chemistry teachers of Senior High School/ in the same level and the lab work instructions contained in the XI grade of Senior High School teaching materials, by using research instruments such as the interview, the lab work observation sheets, the tasks and questions contained in the lab work instructions, the questionnaires of student responses and teacher assessment sheets. The result showed that the lab work instructions, contained in the chemistry materials of Senior High School class XI studied, have the charcteristics of the materials used are easy to obtain. However, the tools used are difficult to obtain and the components of lab work instructions are not complete whereas the characteristics of lab work instructions developed use the tools and materials easily obtained, the procedure is easy to do and it has a component of a complete lab work instructions. Based on the test results implementation, the student responses and the assessment of teachers showed the quality of lab work instructions on the topic about the capacity of the buffer solution developed, was the excellent category with the average of the assessment respectively for 83.56%, 81% and 85.80%.
