Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan kurang terampilnya peserta didik dalam memusikalisasikan puisi. Peserta didik masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengubah puisi menjadi lagu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan memusikalisasikan puisi dengan model experiential learning berbantuan media video. Model experiential learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang menjadikan pengalaman sebagai bahan ajar dan membantu peserta didik dalam mengembangkan pengetahuannya dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran. Adapun langkah-langkah dari model tersebut yaitu, (1) pengalaman konkret, (2) pengamatan aktif dan reflektif, (3) konseptualisasi (thinking), (4) eksperimen aktif (doing). Penelitian ini menggunakan media video sebagai sarana untuk memudahkan peserta didik mendapatkan pengalaman musikalisasi puisi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi yang dilaksanakan melalui dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas X MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Lembang sejumlah 36. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, (1) perencanaan tindakan yang telah disusun peneliti untuk setiap siklus efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan memusikalisasikan puisi, (2) proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran denga model experiential learning berbantuan media video sudah terbilang baik. Hal tersebut terbukti dari meningkatnya aktivitas guru dan peserta didik, (3) hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai yang diperoleh peserta didik. Nilai rata-rata siklus I dengan perolehan nilai 66 dan siklus II dengan perolehan nilai 81. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model experiential learning berbantuan media video mampu meningkatkan kemampuan memusikalisasikan puisi peserta didik kelas X.;--This research is motivated by the problem of the lack of skilled students in music poetry. Students still experience difficulties in turning poetry into songs. This study aims to improve the ability to musicize poetry with experiential learning models assisted by video media. Experiential learning model is a learning model that makes experience as teaching material and helps students develop their knowledge in a learning process. The steps of the model are, (1) concrete experience, (2) active and reflective observation, (3) conceptualization (thinking), (4) active experimentation (doing). This study uses video media as a means to make it easier for students to gain musical experience in poetry. The research method used was classroom action research (CAR) with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection which is carried out through two cycles with research subjects, namely students of class X MIPA 3 of SMA Negeri 1 Lembang, amounting to 36. The results of this study indicate that, (1) the action planning that has been arranged by researchers for each cycle effective to improve the ability to musicize poetry, (2) the process of implementing learning with experiential learning models assisted by video media is fairly good. This is evident from the increased activity of teachers and students, (3) the results of the study showed an increase in scores obtained by students. The average value of the first cycle with the acquisition of 66 and the second cycle with the acquisition of 81. Thus it can be concluded that the experiential learning model assisted by video media can improve the ability to musicize poetry of class X students.
