Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi belum maksimalnya penguatan pendidikan karakter dalam pendidikan sekolah selama ini, terbukti masalah remaja masih menjadi focus perhatian dari semua kalangan akademisi, seperti prilaku remaja yang sudah tidak mengindahkan nilai etika, norma dan kesopanan dimasyarakat. Indonesia sebagai negara beragama, maka sudah seharusnya pendidikan nilai agama dijadikan sebagai penguatan karakter siswa. Peneliti ini untuk mengetahui proses pembinaan watak kewarganegaraan melalui program wustho school dalam membentuk karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif (qualitative approach), dengan metode studi kasus (case study). Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Adapun pengambilan Informan dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling sesuai dengan subjek permasalahan yang terkandung di dalam penelitian ini yaitu: Kepala Sekolah, Wakil Kepala Bagian Kurikulum, Wakil Kepala Bagian Kesiswaan, Pengajar (Guru), Pembina Wustho, Pengajar (Kyai/ustad) dan Siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penguatan karakter warga negara siswa dapat dibentuk melalui pelatihan, pembiasaan dan penguatan materi pendidikan kewarganegaraan melalui nilai-nilai keagamaan. Pola kegiatan rutin, pembiasaan, keteladanan, spontan, terprogram dan pengkondisian telah berkontribusi dalam membentuk karakter siswa menjadi manusia yang disiplin, tanggung jawab, religius, bekerja keras, selalu ingin tahu, bersahabat/komunikatif, santun dan mandiri yang dapat meningkatkan watak kewarganegaraan siswa. Partisipasi aktif semua elemen, sebagai penopang keberhasilan program pendidikan karakter suatu bangsa dalam membentuk good and smart citizenhip.;--This research is motivated not maximal strengthening character education in school education over the years, proved to be a problem teenager is still a focus of attention of all academics, such as the behavior of teenagers who have not heeded the value of ethics, norms, and decency in the society. Indonesia as a state religion, the religion of values education should be used as a reinforcement of student character. Researchers have to know the process of character development wustho citizenship through school programs in shaping the character of students. This study used a qualitative approach (qualitative approach), the case study method (case study), Technique data collection using observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The decision informant by purposive sampling following the subject matter contained in this research are: Headmaster, Deputy Head of Curriculum, Deputy Head of Student, Teacher, Wustho Coach Builder, Wustho Teacher (cleric) and Students. The results of this study indicate that the strengthening of citizen students' character can be established through training, habituation and strengthening civic education materials through religious values. Routine activity patterns, habituation, exemplary, spontaneous, programmed and conditioning has contributed to molding the character of students into human discipline, responsibility, religious, hard-working, always curious, friendly / communicative, polite and self-contained nature of citizenship that can improve student, The active participation of all the elements, as the support of the success of a nation's character education program in good shape and smart citizenship.
