Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh temuan peneliti yang menyadari bahwa pembelajaran IPS kurang memberi ruang untuk sumber belajar berbasis budaya. Selain itu, peneliti melihat rujukan tentang penelitian sumber belajar IPS yang mengangkat internet atau museum sehingga belum menemukan pemanfaatan sanggar tari dalam mengenalkan budaya lokal sebagai sumber belajar IPS. Pelaksanaan penelitian tentang Pemanfaatan Sanggar Tari Dalam Mengenal Budaya Lokal sebagai Sumber Belajar IPS dilaksanakan di Padepokan Surya Medal Putera Wirahma Gegerkalong, Kecamatan Sukasari, Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan mengumpulkan data spesifik dari partisipan, berupa pengamatan di sanggar tari serta pengajuan sejumlah pertanyaan pelatih tari, peserta kursus, dan orang tua peserta kursus sebagai narasumber yang dikuatkan dengan dokumentasi. Selain itu, peneliti menambahkan expert opinion untuk memperkuat analisis peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sanggar tari berperan dalam mengenalkan, menguatkan, serta melestarikan kesenian tari daerah. Kegiatan di sanggar tersebut mengandung nilai dalam tarian, sikap dan perilaku seperti disiplin, kebersamaan, menyalurkan minat, motivasi, kreativitas dan cinta budaya lokal yang dapat dijadikan pembelajaran serta direfleksikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sanggar tersebut dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar cukup relevan dengan materi IPS SMP/MTs tentang Keragaman Budaya, Lembaga Sosial, dan Upaya Menghadapi Globalisasi Budaya dengan cara kunjungan, observasi dan wawancara, kemudian hasilnya dibuat dalam bentuk laporan. Pemanfaatan Padepokan Surya Medal Putera Wirahma dapat dipertimbangkan dengan faktor pendorong dalam segi sumber daya manusia, pengelolaan sanggar, memfasilitasi kreativitas, serta dukungan pihak lain. Sementara itu, perlu diperhatikan dalam segi fasilitas sanggar dan pemilihan waktu yang harus dirancang dengan baik sehingga tidak menjadi penghambat dalam memanfaatkannya sebagai sumber belajar.;--This research is motivated by the findings of researchers who realize that social studies learning doesn’t provide space for cultural-based learning resources. In addition, researchers see references about social studies learning resources that raise the internet or museums, so that they haven’t found utilizatin of dance studios in recognizing local culture as a source of social studies learning. The research on the Utilization of Dance Studio in Recognizing Local Culture as a Source of Social Studies Learning was carried out at the Padepokan Surya Medal of Putera Wirahma Gegerkalong, Sukasari. This research uses a qualitative approach, by gathering specific data from participants, in the form of observations at dance studios and submitting some questions from dance trainers, course participants, and parents of course participants as resource persons strengthened with documentation. In addition, researchers add expert opinion to strengthen the analysis of researchers. The results showed that the dance studio played a role in introducing, strengthening and preserving regional dance art. Activities in the studio contain values in dance, attitudes and behaviors such as discipline, togetherness, channeling interest, motivation, creativity and love of local culture that can be utilization as learning and reflected in daily activities. The studio is utilization as a learning resource that is quite relevant to Social Studies material for junior high school on Cultural Diversity, Social Institutions, and Efforts to Face Cultural Globalization by means of visits, observations and interviews, then the results are made in the form of reports. Utilization of Padepokan Surya Medal Putera Wirahma can be considered with the driving factors in terms of human resources, management of the studio, accommodate creativity, and the support of other parties. Meanwhile, it should be noted in terms of studio facilities and the timing that must be well designed so that it doesn't become an obstacle in using it as a learning resource.
