Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya prestasi mahasiswa UPI ditandai dengan kurangnya partisipasi, motivasi, kreatifitas, budaya riset dan literasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dan metode deskriptif analitis. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peranan Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) LEPPIM UPI dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis anggota. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini:1) Peranan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis anggota belum optimal dikarenakan mengalami kendala disaat kegiatan kaderisasi tidak semua anggota berani mengemukakan pendapat, rendahnya kultur riset mahasiswa, minimnya mentor, rekrutmen anggota tidak melalui proses yang objektif, hubungan kekeluargaan yang kurang sehingga terjadinya miss komunikasi, motivasi mahasiswa yang rendah mengikuti unit kegiatan mahasiswa, pengaruh lingkungan mahasiswa bersifat individualis maupun apatis, serta minimnya fasilitas dan pendanaan dalam kegiatan penelitian. 2) Kendala dalam memanajemen organisasi sehingga terjadi partisipasi anggota tidak maksimal dalam mengikuti kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh UKM LEPPIM UPI. 3) Penggunaan Media elektronik dan non elektronik belum optimalnya kerjasama dari pihak internal maupun eksternal. 4) upaya meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis UKM LEPPIM UPI dilakukan melalui mentoring dengan memfollow up kegiatan kaderisasi, pelatihan karya ilmiah, pengabdian pada masyarakat, serta mewadahi kegiatan diskusi ilmiah. 5) Hasil capaian yang diraih oleh UKM LEPPIM UPI dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis anggota belum optimal dalam memanajemen kurikulum kaderisasi, masih banyak anggota LEPPIM yang kurang antusias, kurangnya partisipasi aktif dalam kaderisasi, minimnya mentor sehingga kurangnya dalam membina anggota, serta rekrutmen anggota yang kurang objektif. ;--This research is motivated by the low achievement of UPI students, marked by lack of participation, motivation, creativity, research culture and literacy. This research uses qualitative approaches, and analytical descriptive methods. The technique of collecting observation data, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The purpose of this research is to know the role of the student Activity Unit (UKM) of the LEPPIM UPI in enhancing the member's critical thinking skills. As for the results of this study: 1) The role in improving the critical thinking skills of members is not optimal due to constraints when regeneration activities are not all members dare to express opinions, the lack of student research culture, the lack of mentors, member recruitment is not through an objective process, family relationships are lacking so that the occurrence of miss communication, low student motivation to follow student activity units, the influence of student environment is individualistic and apathetic, and the lack of facilities and funding in research activities. 2) Obstacles in managing the organization so that member participation is not optimal in participating in activities organized by UKM LEPPIM UPI. 3) The use of electronic and non-electronic media is not yet optimal of cooperation from internal and external parties. 4) Efforts to improve the critical thinking skills of UKM LEPPIM UPI are done through mentoring by following up the regeneration activities, training of scientific works, community devotion, and facilitate scientific discussion activities. 5) The results achieved by UKM LEPPIM UPI in improving members' critical thinking skills are not optimal in managing the regeneration curriculum, many members of LEPPIM who are less enthusiastic, lack of active participation in regeneration, the lack of a mentor that is not in building members, as well as hiring less objective members.
