Abstract

Belum terpenuhinya standar kompetensi akademik siswa di SMK menunjukkan bahwa perlu adanya pengembangan kompetensi akademik siswa yang terencana dan komprehensif. Fokus masalah pada penelitian ini adalah perubahan sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa inkompeten menjadi kompeten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efikasi intervensi academic journey dalam mengembangkan kompetensi akademik siswa. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas XI SMKN 9 Bandung. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan instrumen mengadopsi dari standar kompetensi akademik siswa ASCA berupa angket, observasi dan wawancara sebagai pengumpulan data. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih tidak secara random yang melibatkan siswa kelas XI TB 1 dan XI PH 1 SMKN 9 Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intervensi academic journey memiliki efikasi rendah untuk mengembangkan kompetensi akademik siswa. Meskipun demikian, intervensi academic journey melahirkan perubahan kategori pada siswa dilihat dari kategori pretest dan pascatest kelompok eksperimen yang lebih banyak mengalami perubahan kategori dari rerata skor yang diperoleh dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol.;The unmet fulfillment of students' academic competency standards at vocational schools indicates the need for a planned and comprehensive development of student academic competencies. This study aims is to test the efficacy of the academic journey intervention to develop students' academic competencies. This study was conducted on grade XI students of SMKN 9 Bandung by focusing on changing attitudes, knowledge and skills of incompetent students to be competent. The research used quantitative approach with the instrument used adopted from ASCA students' academic competency using a questionnaire, observation and interviews as data collection. The method used is quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling in this study was chosen by involving students of class XI TB 1 and XI PH 1 SMKN 9 Bandung. The results showed that the academic journey intervention had low efficacy in developing students' academic competencies. Nevertheless, the academic journey intervention resulted changes in the category of students observed from the pretest and posttest experimental group who got more change in the category of the mean scores obtained compared to the control group.
