Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran strategi komite sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah di SMP Negeri 40 Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan Perencanaan Program Kerja Komite Sekolah SMP Negeri 40 Bandung, (2) Mendeskripsikan Pelaksanaan Program Kerja Komite Sekolah SMP Negeri 40 Bandung , (3) Mendeskripsikan Evaluasi Program Kerja Komite Sekolah SMP Negeri 40 Bandung . Berdasarkan hasil penilitian diperoleh bahwa (1) Komite sekolah belum memiliki visi dan misi dan masih mengikuti visi dan misi sekolah (2) Komite sekolah menjalankan tugas fungsinya sesuai Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (3) Pada penyusunan program kerja, komite sekolah mengidentifikasi masalah sekolah melalui pengamatan langsung kondisi sekolah dan melalui aspirasi orangtua siswa (4) Komite sekolah membentuk tim dan merumuskan program kerja (5) Program Kerja Unggulan Komite Sekolah terdiri dari workshop guru karyawan, pengadaan laptop untuk UNBK, bantuan dana operasional, dan dukungan kegiatan pembiasaan dan ekstrakulikuler. (6) Sasaran setiap program kerja adalah sekolah (7) mekanisme penganggaran, berasal dari partisipasi orang tua dan sesuai aturan (8) pelaksanaan program kerja berbentuk workshop dan pertemuan langsung (9) Melakukan koordinasi horizontal, pengawasan dilakukan oleh sekolah dan pengawas pendidikan (10) komite sekolah melakukan evaluasi dan pembuatan laporan setelah kegiatan dilaksanakan, komite sekolah melaporkan pemasukan dan pengeluaran keuangan, komite kekurangan sumber daya manusia dan kekurangan wawasan mengenai organisasi komite sekolah . (11) Setelah pelaksanaan program kerja komite sekolah, SMP Negeri 40 mengalami perubahan yang lebih baik .;This study aims to determine the description of the school committee's strategy in an effort to improve school quality at SMP Negeri 40 Bandung. The research method used in this study is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation study. Informant data sources are the Chairperson of the School Committee, School Committee Members, School Principals, Deputy Principals in Relations and Community Affairs, and Homeroom. This study aims to (1) Describe the School Committee Work Program Planning, (2) Describe the School Committee Work Program Implementation, (3) Describe the School Committee Work Program Evaluation at SMP Negeri 40 Bandung. Based on the results of the study it was found that (1) The school committee does not have its own vision and mission and still follows the school's vision and mission (2) School committees carry out their duties and functions in accordance with Minister of Education and Culture Regulations (3) In preparing work programs, school committees identify school problems through direct observation of school conditions and through the aspirations of parents of students (4) School committees form teams and formulate work programs (5) School Committee Flagship Work Programs consist of teacher and employee workshops, procurement of laptops for UNBK, operational funding assistance, and support for habituation and extracurricular activities. (6) The target of each work program is the school (7) budgeting mechanism, derived from parent participation and according to the rules (8) the implementation of the work program is in the form of workshops and direct meetings (9) Conducting horizontal coordination, supervision is carried out by the school and the education supervisor (10) the school committee evaluates and reports after the activity was carried out, the school committee reported financial income and expenditure, the committee lacked human resources and lacked insight into the organization of the school committee. (11) After the school committee's work program was implemented, SMP Negeri 40 underwent a change for the better.
