Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh belum tersedianya media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi Digital khususnya mengenai sub bab Pengkodean Kanal pada materi Channel Encoder. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk (1) mengembangkan modul latih (7,4) Hamming code channel encoder sebagai media pembelajaran untuk mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi Digital ditinjau dari aspek unjuk kerjanya; (2) mengetahui tingkat kelayakan modul latih yang dikembangkan; serta (3) mengetahui respon pengguna modul latih tersebut. Unjuk kerja ditinjau dari uji fungsional dan kelayakan ditinjau dari hasil penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media, sedangkan respon pengguna ditinjau dari hasil respon mahasiswa setelah menggunakan modul latih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 1(satu) dosen sebagai ahli materi, 1 (satu) dosen ahli media dan 17 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro konsentrasi Teknik Telekomunikasi yang sedang mengontrak mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi Digital tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Modul latih yang dikembangkan mempunyai unjuk kerja yang baik dengan hasil uji fungsional dengan persentase error sebesar 0%. Hasil uji kelayakan dari ahli materi dan ahli media modul latih mendapatkan kategori sangat layak dengan beberapa perbaikan. Untuk respon pengguna diperoleh hasil sebesar 87,87% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian modul latih yang dikembangkan ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi Digital. Kata kunci: modul latih, media pembelajaran, channel encoder, hamming code, Sistem Komunikasi Digital. -------- This research is motivated by the unavailability of instructional media in Digital Communication Systems courses, especially regarding the Channels Encoding sub-section on Channel Encoder material. The purpose of this study is to (1) develop a training module (7.4) Hamming code channel encoder as a learning media for Digital Communication Systems courses in terms of performance aspects; (2) knowing the level of feasibility of the training modules developed; and (3) knowing the response of the training module users. Performance is reviewed from the functional test and feasibility is reviewed from the results of the assessment of material experts and media experts, while user responses are viewed from the results of student responses after using the training module. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluation) development model. The research subjects consisted of 1 (one) lecturer as a material expert, 1 (one) media expert lecturer and 17 Electrical Engineering Education Study Program students concentrating in Telecommunications Engineering who were contracting a Digital Communication System course in the 2018/2019 school year. The training module developed has a good performance with functional test results with an error percentage of 0%. The results of the feasibility test from the material expert and the media module trainer get a very decent category with some improvements. For user responses the results obtained were 87.87% with a very good category. Thus the developed training modules can be used as learning media for Digital Communication Systems courses.
