Abstract

------- Research starts from the phenomenon of low student’s resilience that results in not being able to survive in difficult conditions. This study was used to test the effectiveness of stress inoculation training techniques to improve student’s resilience. The method used is a quasi-experimental with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The data collection technique using a resilience instrument. The research participants were 10 students of Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia 2018/2019, the sampling was done using non-probability with homogenous sampling techniques which were grouped in the experimental group (five people) and the control group (five people). Data analysis techniques using the T test showed that there were significant differences in the average gain score between the experimental group and the control group, an increase was seen in seven aspects of student’s resilience, there are emotion regulation, impulse control, optimism, causal analysis, empathy, self-efficacy , and reaching out. Based on the results of the study showed that the stress inoculation training technique was effective in increasing student’s resilience. Recommendations are aimed at counselors at universities, UPT BK PK, further research, and academic supervisors of Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris 2018/2019 students.
