    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan hasil belajar siswa SMA pada materi sistem ekskresi yang menggunakan Guided Inquiry dan Modified Inquiry. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimen terhadap 54 orang siswa kelas XI MIPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Kajian yang diteliti meliputi hasil belajar siswa dan model pembelajaran Guided Inquiry dan Modified Inquiry. Sampel yang dipilih berdasarkan convenience sampling. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan Guided Inquiry dan Modified Inquiry. Kelas yang menggunakan Guided Inquiry lebih baik dari pada kelas yang menggunakan Modified Inquiry.

    This research was aimed to identify the differences in student learning outcomes using Guided Inquiry and Modified Inquiry in learning excretory system. This research design used a Quasi Experiment research with the participants were 54 eleventh grade of science students. A quantitative experiment with a Non-equivalent Control Group Design was used in research method. The research investigated the student learning outcomes and Guided Inquiry and Modified Inquiry learning models.The samples were selected based on the convenience sampling. The data gathered from the tests and observation as the instruments of the research. The results of the research showed the differences in student learning outcomes in classes taught using Guided Inquiry and Modified Inquiry. Class taught using Guided Inquiry was better than using Modified Inquiry
