Abstract

Saat ini, pemerintah menjalankan upaya dalam membentuk guru yang profesional dan kompeten melalui program pendidikan profesi guru atau yang lebih dikenal dengan istilah PPG. Program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) merupakan bagian dari syarat Guru untuk diakui secara profesional. Dalam implementasinya tidak semua mahasiswa dan alumni memahami maupun mengetahui peran dan fungsi keberadaan program PPG. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa dan lulusan Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro DPTE FPTK UPI terhadap program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG). Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Responden yang terlibat adalah 80 mahasiswa/alumni dari Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro DPTE FPTK UPI dari angkatan 2012-2015. Variabel yang diteliti yaitu, variabel persepsi terhadap adanya program PPG dan variabel persepsi terhadap motivasi untuk mengikuti program PPG. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa mayoritas atau sebagian besar dari mahasiswa dan alumni sudah mengetahui adanya program PPG dan untuk mengikuti program PPG, mahasiwa dan alumni sudah memiliki motivasi yang tinggi untuk mengikutinya.;--Currently, the government is conducting efforts in shaping professional and competent teachers through teacher's professional education programs or better known as PPG. The Teacher Profession Education Program is part of the teacher's requirement to be recognized professionally. In its implementation, not all students and alumni understand or know the role and function of the PPG program. This research aims to determine the perception of students and graduates of the Program of electrical engineering education of DPTE FPTK UPI towards the Teacher Profession Education Program. The research method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The respondents involved were 80 students/alumni of the study Program of electrical engineering education of DPTE FPTK UPI from Force 2012-2015. The variables that are researched are variable perceptions to the presence of PPG programs and variable perception of motivation to follow PPG program. From the results of the study gained that the majority or most of the students and alumni already know the existence of PPG program and to follow PPG program, students and alumni already have a high motivation to follow.
