    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kesulitan yang ditemukan dari siswa berbakat matematika dalam mencapai kemampuan Three Mathematical Minds (M3), dan mengetahui apakah bahan ajar enrichment yang dikembangkan dapat mengatasi kesulitan sebagaimana yang ditemukan pada tes kemampuan M3. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Bandung. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa berbakat matematika yang tergabung dalam ektrakurikuler Kelompok Pecinta Matematika (KPM). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data secara triangulasi data. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh tiga kesulitan siswa berbakat matematika dalam mencapai kemampuan M3, yaitu: 1) kesulitan bersifat strategik atau heuristik, 2) kesulitan bersifat penalaran adaptif, dan 3) kesulitan bersifat gabungan (strategik dan penalaran adaptif). Bahan ajar enrichment yang dikembangkan dapat membantu siswa dalam hal kesulitan bersifat strategik dan kesulitan bersifat penalaran adaptif.
    Kata Kunci: Tes kemampuan Three Mathematical Minds, kesulitan bersifat strategik, kesulitan bersifat penalaran adaptif, kesulitan bersifat strategik dan penalaran adaptif, bahan ajar enrichment.

    This study aims to determine the types of difficulties that are found from math gifted students in achieving the test of the Three Mathematical Minds (M3), and determine whether the enrichment materials were developed to overcome the difficulties as those found in the M3 test. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Bandung. The subjects in this study were math gifted students who joined in extracurricular of Math Fans Club (MFC). This study uses qualitative methods. Data analysis was done by descriptive analysis of qualitative, with data collection techniques was data triangulation. The study reports that there were three math gifted student difficulties in achieving the ability of M3, there are: 1) strategic or heuristic difficulties, 2) adaptive reasoning difficulties, and 3) combined of strategic and adaptive reasoning difficulties. Enrichment of teaching materials are developed can help students in strategic difficulties and adaptive reasoning difficulties.
