Abstract
ABSTRAK Silmi Rasyidah, 1400896. (2019). Hubungan antara Self-compassion dengan Kecerdasan Emosional Pada Remaja (Studi Korelasional pada Peserta Didik Kelas VII MTs. Al-Inayah Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019). Self-compassion merupakan salah satu bahasan yang mampu menjelaskan bagaimana individu bertahan, memahami, dan mencari makna suatu kegagalan dan kesulitan sebagai hal yang positif. Artinya, self-compassion menghasilkan jalan keluar yang bijak saat menghadapi emosi yang sulit.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara self-compassion dengan kecerdasan emosional peserta didik kelas VII MTs. Al-Inayah Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah angket self-compassion berjumlah 28 item dan angket kecerdasan emosional berjumlah 44 item. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi yang melibatkan 123 subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecenderungan umum self-compassion dan kecerdasan emosional berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil pengujian korelasi menggunakan Spearman Rank Order Correlation (rho) menunjukkan hasil terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara self-compassion dan kecerdasan emosional peserta didik. Hasil pengujian koefisien determinasi menunjukan self-compassion berkontribusi sebesar 11,1% pada kecerdasan emosional. Temuan penelitian berimplikasi pada perlunya pengembangan self-compassion dan kecerdasan emosional melalui layanan bimbingan dan konseling menggunakan teknik bimbingan kelompok. The Relationship between Self-compassion and Emotional Intelligence in Adolescents (The Correlational sStudy on The Students of Class VII MTs. Al-Inayah Bandung School Year 2018/2019). Self-compassion is a discussion on how individuals may endure, understand, and seek the meaning of a failure and difficulty as a positive thing. That is, self-compassion generates a wise escape while dealing with difficult emotions. This study aims to uncover the relationship between self-compassion and the emotional intelligence of the students of the VII MTs. Al-Inayah Bandung school year 2018/2019. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlation method involving 123 research subjects. The results showed a general tendency of self-compassion and emotional intelligence in the medium category The data collection tool used is the self-compassion questionnaire amounting to 28 items and an questionnaire amounting to 44 items. The correlation test result using the Spearman Rank Order Correlation (rho) shows a significant relationship between self-compassion and the emotional intelligence of learners. Coefficient of determination of the test results shows that self-compassion contributes 11.1% to emotional intelligence. Research findings implicate the need for the development of self-compassion and emotional intelligence by hand through guidance and counseling services using group guidance techniques.
