Abstract

Penelitian bertitiktolak dari adanya fenomena rendahnya kecerdasan adversitas siswa yang mengakibatkan timbulnya perilaku destruktif ketika dihadapkan pada situasi sulit. Penelitian bertujuanmenguji efektivitasteknik experiential based counseling untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan adversitas siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desainnon-equivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kecerdasan adversitas. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI Jurusan TKR SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 yang memiliki tingkat kecerdasan adversitas pada kategori quitter (rendah). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik parametrik yaitu uji independent Sample T-test dan uji paired sample T-test. Adapun temuan penelitian yaitu: (1) sebagian besar siswamemiliki kecerdasan adversitas berada pada kategori camper; (2) rumusan program bimbingan dan konseling dengan teknik experiential based counselinguntuk meningkatkan kecerdasan adversitas; dan (3) teknik experiential based counseling efektik untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan adversitas siswa. Program bimbingan konseling dengan menggunakan teknik experiential based counseling untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan adversitas siswa direkomendasikan untuk diintegrasikan dengan program bimbingandan konseling yang ada di sekolah. ------ Research starts from the phenomenon of low adversity intelligence of students which results in destructive behavior when faced with difficult situations. The research aims to examine the effectiveness of experiential-based counseling techniques to improve student adversity intelligence. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. Data collection techniques using the instrument of adversity intelligence. The research sample is students of class XI Department of TKR SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan in Academic Year 2018/2019 who have the level of adversity intelligence in the quitter category (low). The data analysis technique used is parametric statistics, namely the independent sample T-test and paired sample T-test. The research findings are: (1) most students have adversity intelligence in the camper category, (2) formulation of guidance and counseling programs with experiential based counseling techniques to improve adversity intelligence (3) experiential based counseling techniques effective to improve student adversity intelligence. Counseling guidance program using experiential based counseling techniques to improve the intelligence of students adversity is recommended to be integrated with the guidance and counseling program in school
