Abstract

This research is motivated by the process of history learning that pay less attention to history that is in the closest environment of students so that history learning is less meaningful and cannot be felt directly in students' daily lives. The history learning material presented by the teacher is only based on the textbook. Such learning has an impact on the low level of critical thinking and history awareness of students in understanding the history of the region. One of the goals of history learning is to get to know their identity as members of society and nation. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the construction of historical learning based on the local wisdom of the Talaga community on critical thinking skills and historical awareness. This study uses the research method Quasi-experiment with the design of the Nonequivalent control group. The location of this study was carried out at SMA Negeri I Talaga with a study sample covering students of MIPA X MIPA 5, IPA 6, IPS 1 and IPS 5. The results showed that; firstly, there is the influence of the construction of history learning based on the local wisdom of the Talaga community on students' critical thinking abilities. Secondly, there is the influence of the construction of history wisdom-based learning in the Talaga community on students' historical awareness. Third, there are differences in the influence between the construction of history learning based on local wisdom of the Talaga community in the experimental class with history learning of conventional models in the control class on students' critical thinking abilities. Fourth, there is a difference in influence between the construction of history learning based on local wisdom of the Talaga community in the experimental class and the history learning of conventional models in the control class on students' history awareness.----------Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh proses pembelajaran sejarah yang kurang memperhatikan sejarah yang berada di di lingkungan terdekat siswa, sehingga pembelajaran sejarah kurang bermakna serta tidak dapat dirasakan langsung dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Materi sejarah yang disajikan guru hanya bertumpu pada buku teks. Pembelajaran tersebut berdampak kepada rendahnya berpikir kritis dan kesadaran sejarah siswa dalam memahami sejarah daerahnya. Salah satu sasaran dari pembelajaran sejarah yaitu untuk mengenal jatidiri sebagai anggota masyarakat dan bangsa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konstruksi pembelajaran sejarah berbasis kearifan lokal masyarakat Talaga terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kesadaran sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Quasi eksperiment dengan desain Non equivalent control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA di Kabupaten Majalengka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri I Talaga dengan sampel penelitian meliputi siswa kelas MIPA X MIPA 5, IPA 6, IPS 1 dan IPS 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa; pertama terdapat pengaruh dari konstruksi pembelajaran sejarah berbasis kearifan lokal masyarakat Talaga terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Kedua terdapat pengaruh dari konstruksi pembelajaran sejarah berbasis kearifan lokal masyarakat Talaga terhadap kesadaran sejarah siswa. Ketiga terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara konstruksi pembelajaran sejarah berbasis kearifan lokal masyarakat Talaga pada kelas eksperimen dengan pembelajaran sejarah model konvensional pada kelas kontrol terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Keempat terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara konstruksi pembelajaran sejarah berbasis kearifan lokal masyarakat Talaga pada kelas eksperimen dengan pembelajaran sejarah model konvensional pada kelas kontrol terhadap kesadaran sejarah siswa.
