Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh mudahnya penggunaan komunikasi secara online yang dapat menimbulkan perilaku cyberbullying. Dampak perilaku cyberbullying perlu dimengerti oleh peserta didik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan perilaku cyberbullying yang dilakukan kepada peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kota Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif dan desain penelitian survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) kecenderungan perilaku cyberbullying pada peserta didik Kelas VIII berada pada intensitas rendah sekali baik secara keseluruhan maupun berdasarkan bentuk 2) kecenderungan perilaku cyberbullying berdasarkan jenis kelamin pada peserta didik kelas VIII berada pada intensitas rendah sekali pada setiap bentuk yang ada. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan kepada: 1) pihak sekolah untuk melakukan pembuatan kebijakan mengenai penggunaan gadget, pengawasan, dan pemberian pemahaman mengenai cyberbullying; 2) guru BK mampu mengidentifikasi pelaku cyberbullying, memberikan layanan berupa bimbingan sesuai dengan bentuk perilaku cyberbullying peserta didik yang umumnya terjadi, dan memberikan konsultasi untuk pesera didik mengenai cyberbullying; dan 3) penelitian selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan alat ungkap cyberbullying dan mempertimbangkan faktor lain yang terlibat pada perilaku cyberbullying.;--The research is motivated by the ease of using online communication that can cause cyberbullying behavior. The impact of cyberbullying needs to be understanding by students. The study aims to determine the tendency of cyberbullying behavior to students of 8th Grades of 7 Junior High School in Bandung Academic Year 2017/2018. The research approach used is quantitative with descriptive research methods and survey research design. The results showed: 1) the tendency of cyberbullying behavior in 8th Grades to be at very low intensity both overall and by form 2) the tendency of cyberbullying behavior based on sex on grade VIII students to be at very low intensity in each form. The research recommendations are addressed to: 1) the school to make policies regarding the use of gadgets, supervision, and providing understanding of cyberbullying; 2) Counselors are able to identify perpetrators of cyberbullying, provide services in the form of guidance in accordance with the forms of cyberbullying behavior of students that generally occur, and provide consultation for students about cyberbullying; and 3) further research to develop cyberbullying express tools and consider other factors involved in cyberbullying behavior.
