Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kompetensi guru pendamping muda Daycare Labschool Percontohan UPI. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 orang guru pendamping muda. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung terhadap aktivitas guru pendamping muda selama berada di lembaga Daycare. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil kompetensi guru pendamping muda di Daycare Labschool percontohan UPI meliputi : 1). kompetensi pemahaman dasar-dasar pengasuhan ditunjukkan dengan melakukan peranan sebagai ibu, berperan sebagai teman anak, memperhatikan pola makan dan kebutuhan gizi anak, memperhatikan kesehatan anak dan melindungi anak. 2).Kompetensi keterampilan melaksanakan pengasuhan, ditunjukkan dengan terampil dalam pemberian minum dan makan anak, melakukan perawatan kebersihan diri dan anak, memilih dan menggunakan kosmetika anak yang disesuaikan dengan anak, selalu menunjukan kepekaan dan responsif terhadap sikap ketidaknyamanan anak dan selalu menjaga kebersihan lingkungan anak. 3).Kompetensi bersikap dan berperilaku sesuai dengan kebutuhan psikologis anak ditunjukan dengan menyayangi anak secara tulus, menampilkan diri sebagai pribadi yang dewasa, arif, bijaksana dengan bersikap adil terhadap seluruh anak, pandai memotivasi anak, selalu menumbuhkan kedamaian terhadap anak, selain itu ditunjukan juga dengan selalu berperilaku santun, menghargai, dan menghormati orang tua anak. Rekomendasi dalam penelitian ini ditujukan kepada guru pendamping muda agar lebih memperhatikan dan lebih mengkaji kembali mengenai pedoman pelaksanaan setiap aspek kompetensi yang perlu dimiliki agar pelaksanaan pengasuhan terhadap anak dapat dilakukan lebih maksimal dan lebih sesuai dengan ketentuan yang sudah ada.;--The research aims to know competence profile of caregiver in Daycare Labschool UPI. Method used in the research is case study. Subjects in the research are six caregiver. Research data is collected through interview and direct observations to the activities of caregiver during at the Daycare. Result of the research shows that competence profile of the caregiver covers : 1). competence of the basic understanding of parenting showed by doing a role as mother , as a friend of the kids, pay attention to the kids' nutritional needs and dietary habits, pay attention to the kids' health and protect them. 2).skill competence of doing parenting , showed by skilled in giving drink and food to the kids, do the treatment of self cleanliness and the kids , choose and use kids' cosmetics those are suitable with the kids, always shows sensitivity and respond to the inconvenience and always keeps the kids' environmental cleanliness. 3). competence of behave that is suitable with the kids' psychological needs showed by loving them sincerely, shows as a mature person, wise by treating all the kids fairly, motivates the kids well, always grows up the peace of the kids, beside showed by behaving well mannered, appreciate, and respect to the kids' parents. Recommendations of the research refers to the caregiver in order that they can pay attention and review about execution guidelines of every competence aspects those are need to be required in order that implementation of parenting to the kids can be done more maximally and suitable with the rules before.
