Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai miskonsepsi siswa sma pada materi ekosistem. Miskonsepsi penting diketahui sebagai langkah awal sebelum memperbaiki miskonsepsi maupun mencegah munculnya miskonsepsi di pembelajaran selanjutnya. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, dengan pelaksanaannya yang dilakukan pada 2 sekolah di kota Bandung. Sekolah yang dipilih merupakah sekolah dengan passing grade tinggi dan passing grade rendah di kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan soal three-tier sebagai instrument penelitian yang dikombinasikan dengan metode CRI yang telah dimodifikasi. Selain itu, wawancara guru dan siswa dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai kegiatan pembelajaran yang diduga menjadi faktor terbentuknya miskonsepsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 27 konsep beserta konteksnya yang diujikan, sebanyak 22 konsep beserta konteksnya terdeteksi memiliki miskonsepsi siswa didalamnya dengan konsep tertinggi ialah konsep aliran energi pada konteks urutan energi. Ditinjau dari sekolah, Siswa SMA A (passing grade tinggi) mengalami miskonsepsi pada 10 konsep beserta konteksnya dari 27 konsep beserta konteks yang diujikan. Konsep dengan persentase siswa paling tinggi terdapat pada konsep jaring-jaring makanan dalam konteks masing-masing. Sedangkan pada siswa di sekolah dengan passing grade rendah mengalami miskonsepsi sebanyak 17 konsep dengan konteksnya masing-masing dari 27 konsep beserta konteks yang diujikan. Konsep yang memiliki persentase paling tinggi yaitu aliran energi dengan konteks urutan aliran energi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, ditemukan fakta bahwa pembelajaran berlangsung dengan metode ceramah dan menggunakan tampilan presentasi powerpoint sebagai media satu-satunya dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu sebagian besar siswa mengaku bahwa siswa tidak memahami penjelasan yang diberikan oleh guru, sehingga mencari alternatif sumber rujukan dalam pembelajaran seperti buku paket , LKS, dan sumber referensi dari internet. .... This study aims to obtain information about the misconception of high school students on ecosystem subjects. Misconceptions are important to know as a preliminary step before correcting misconceptions and preventing the emergence of misconceptions in subsequent learning. In this research, the method used is descriptive method, and this research takes two schools in Bandung city as sample of the research. Selected schools are schools with high grade passes and low grade passes in Bandung. This study uses three-tier problem as a research instrument combined with CRI method that has been modified. In addition, teacher and student interviews were conducted to obtain information on learning activities that were thought to be factors of misconception. The result of research shows almost all of concept that has been tested have student’s misconception inside, there are 22 concepts from 27 concept tested. In particular, the school with high passing grade has misconception in 10 concept from 27 conception tested. The concept with the highest percentage of students is found in the concept of food webs in context the definition of food web. While the students in schools with low-grade passing experience misconceptions as many as 17 concepts with each context from the 27 concepts tested. The concept that has the highest percentage is concept about energy flow with the context of energy flow sequence. Based on the results of the interviews, it was found that learning was conducted by using lecture method and used the power-point presentation as the only media in learning. With this kind of learning, students with misconceptions are mostly bored with learning, and lose interest in caring for teachers. In addition, most students admitted that the students do not understand the explanation given by the teacher, so look for alternative sources of referral of learning such as textbooks, worksheets, and reference sources from the internet.
