Abstract

ABSTRAK PENERAPAN PEDEKATAN SAVI (SOMATIS, AUDITORI, VISUAL, DAN INTELEKTUAL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR Oleh Fitri Ramadani 1503428 Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minat belajar siswa yang rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang kurang sesuai dengan gaya belajar siswa sehingga siswa kurang terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan pendekatan SAVI (Somatis, Auditori, Visual, dan Intelektual) untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kota Bandung dengan subjek penelitian di kelas IV dengan siswa sebanyak 30 siswa terdiri dari 15 siswa perempuan dan 15 siswa laki-laki semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019. PTK ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan pendekatan SAVI yang didalamnya memuat prinsip Somatis, Auditori, Visual dan Intelektual. Adapun minat belajar siswa diukur melalui lembar observasi dengan komponen minta belajar meliputi: (1) Perasaan Senang (2) Keterlibatan Siswa (3) Ketertarikan, dan (4) Perhatian Siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat peningkatan minat belajar siswa, pada siklus I minat belajar siswa sebesar 80% dan pada siklus II minat belajar siswa sebesar 92% sehingga terjadi peningkatann sebesar 12%. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan SAVI (Somatis, Auditori, Visual, dan Intelektual) dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa Sekolah Dasar. Kata kunci: pendekatan SAVI (Somatis, Auditori, Visual, dan Intelektual), minat belajar siswa ABSTRACT APPLICATION OF SAVI'S APPROACH (SOMATIC, AUDITORY, VISUAL, AND INTELLECTUAL) TO IMPROVE THE INTEREST OF LEARNING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS By Fitri Ramadani 1503428 This research is motivated by low student learning interest. This is caused by learning that is not in accordance with student learning styles so students are less involved in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the SAVI approach (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) to increase the interest in learning of elementary school students. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is conducted in one of the Bandung Municipal Primary Schools with research subjects in class IV with 30 students consisting of 15 female students and 15 male students in the academic year 2018/2019. PTK is done by applying the SAVI approach which includes the principles of Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual. The interest in student learning measured through an observation sheet with the components of learning request include: (1) Loving Feelings (2) Student Involvement (3) Interest, and (4) Student Attention. Based on this study, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' interest in learning, in the first cycle students' learning interest was 80% and in the second cycle students' learning interest was 92% so that there was an increase of 12%. Based on the data from the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the SAVI approach (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) can increase the learning interest of elementary school students.
