Abstract

Pendidikan seks bagi anak tunagrahita ringan sangat penting diberikan karena meskipun mereka terhambat dalam segi kecerdasan namun mereka tidak terganggu dalam perkembangan fisik sehingga mereka tetap melalui tahap pubertas seperti anak pada umumnya. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilaksanakan di SLB C Purnama Asih ditemukan bahwa masih banyak perilaku seksual anak tunagrahita ringan yang tidak sesuai dengan norma agama maupun norma sosial di masyarakat karena anak tunagrahita ringan tidak mampu mengontrol perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi pada dirinya serta banyak diantara anak yang telah memasuki tahap pubertas belum mengetahui bagaimana tata cara merawat diri ataupun menjaga diri dari lawan jenis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengembangan program pendidikan seks bagi anak tunagrahita ringan di SLB C Purnama Asih. Metode penelitian dalampenelitianini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengansubyekpenelitiansebanyak 9 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dapatdisimpulkanbahwa pendidikan seks di sekolah masih sebatas sisipan pada mata pelajaran tertentu dan belum ada program yang dijadikan panduan khusus sehingga pengetahuan anak tunagrahita ringan dalam pendidikan seks masih sangat minim. Peneliti merekomendasikan program yang disusun khusus untuk pendidikan seks dimana materi yang disampaikan sesuai dengan usia dan pemahaman anak serta penggunaan media yang bersifat konkrit.;-- Sex education for children with mild intellectual disability are very important because although they have intellectual disability but their physic development are same with the other children, so they still through puberty stage in their adolescent age. Based preliminary study in SLB C Purnama Asih was found if so many sexual behavior of children with mild intellectual disability are not suitable with their religion norm and social norm in their society because they can not control the changes in theirself and many of them through puberty stage with not know yet how to care theirself or keep theirself from the opposite sex. The purpose of this study is to know how to development of sex education program for children with mild intellectual disability in SLB C Purnama Asih. The method of this study is descriptive qualitative method with 9 study subjects. Data collections technique used observation, interview and documentation. The results are sex education in special school only insert as a little part in one subject and not programing yet as specific guides that effect children with mild intellectual disability’s knowledge in sex education still very minimum. Researcher has a specific program to sex education as a recomendation to use in special school where the materials submitted suitable with age and their understanding and then using concrete medias.
