Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengalaman penulis sebagai Asisten Laboratorium Telekomunikasi, dimana jumlah modul latih mengalami keterbatasan, dan hampir semua praktikum menggunakan perangkat lunak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan media pembelajaran modul latih Amplitude Shift Keying Modulation dan mengetahui respon mahasiswa sebagai pengguna. Penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE oleh Robert Maribe Branch menjadi metode penelitian yang dilakukan, dengan tahapan: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Tahapan pertama adalah menganalisis kebutuhan modul latih, kedua mendesain modul latih dan jobsheet, ketiga melakukan pengembangan dengan uji validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, dan terakhir penggunaan oleh mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro KBK Telekomunikasi yang mengontrak mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi Digital dan Praktikum Pengolahan dan Transmisi Sinyal. Penelitian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran modul latih modulasi ASK dan jobsheet. Media pembelajaran tersebut memperoleh rerata skor kelayakan oleh ahli materi sebesar 96,94 dengan kategori sangat layak, rerata skor kelayakan oleh ahli media adalah 80,21 dengan kategori sangat layak, dan respon pengguna terhadap penggunaan modul latih dan jobsheet adalah respon positif sangat baik dengan rerata skor 86,18. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa modul latih modulasi ASK dan jobsheet termasuk sangat layak digunakan dalam mata kuliah Praktikum Pengolahan dan Transmisi Sinyal. Kata kunci: Modul Latih, ASK, ADDIE, Telekomunikasi This research is motivated by the author’s experience as a Telecommunication Laboratory Assistant, where the number of training modules has limitations, and almost all of practicums use softwares. This research aims to examine the feasibility of instructional media, trainer module of Amplitude Shift Keying modulation and to know college students responses as users. Research and Development with ADDIE model by Robert Maribe Branch as this research method, with the steps are Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. First step is analyze the needs of trainer module, second step is design trainer module, third step is develop with validation examines by contents expert and construct expert, and the last is used by college students of Electrical Engineering of Education Department who contract Digital Communication System courses and Signal Transmission and Processing Lab work courses. Result of this research are instructional media trainer module of ASK and jobsheet. The learning media obtained an average score of eligibility scores by material expert is 96,94 in category is very eligible, an average score of of eligibility by media experts is 80,21 in category is very eligible, and user response to using of training modules and jobsheets is a very good positive response with an average score is 86,18. Based on that, it was concluded that the ASK modulation training module and jobsheet are included as very feasible to be used in the Practicum of Signal Processing and Transmission.
