Abstract

Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) pada serat optik digunakan untuk jaringan jarak jauh yang mampu membawa banyak kanal komunikasi dalam satu serat optik dengan panjang gelombang yang berbeda-beda. Untuk mengetahui kinerja sistem DWDM pada link Bandung –Cibatu, maka dilakukan analisis perhitungan link power budget dan rise time budget. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) dan data dari software DWDM yaitu EMS (Element Management System). Dari penelitian ini didapatkan nilai redaman total secara keseluruhan adalah 24,573 dB, nilai ini lebih kecil dari standar maksimum redaman total yaitu 33 dB. Dari data EMS didapatkan nilai daya terima sebesar -9,81 dBm, nilai ini lebih besar dari standar minimum daya terima yaitu -24 dBm. Perhitungan power margin didapatkan nilai sebesar 8,793 dBm. Ini berarti nilai power margin lebih besar dari standar minimum power margin yang ditetapkan PT.Telkom yaitu 3 dBm. Untuk hasil perhitungan rise time budget didapatkan nilai tsystem adalah67,026 ps. Dengan ini, nilai rise time budgetlebih kecil dari standar maksimum yang diperbolehkan, yaitu 70 ps untuk modulasi NRZ. ;--- Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) on optical fiber is used for long-distance network capable of carrying multiple communication channels in one optical fiber with different wavelengths. In order to know the performance of DWDM systemon link Bandung - Cibatu, then calculation of power budget link and rise time budget. The data was collected using OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) and data from DWDM software ie EMS (Element Management System). From this research, the overall total attenuation value is 24,573 dB, this value is smaller than the maximum total damping standard that is 33 dB. From the EMS data we get a power value of -9.81 dBm, this value is greater than the minimum acceptance standard which is -24 dBm. From the calculation of power margin, the value that was obtained is 8,793 dBm. This means that the power margin value is greater than the minimum power margin set by PT Telkom that is 3 dBm. For the calculation of rise time budget tsystem value obtained is 67.026 ps. With this results, it can be concluded that the rise time budget value is smaller than the maximum allowable standard, which is 70 ps for NRZ modulation.
