Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberadaan guru kelas honorer yang belum tersertifikasi di SDN 134 Panorama, Bandung. Guru yang memiliki sertifikat pendidik akan mudah diketahui hasil kompetensi sosialnya, sedangkan guru non sertifikasi belum diketahui kompetensi sosialnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi sosial guru kelas non sertifikasi yaitu guru kelas yang berstatus honorer dan upaya guru kelas honorer serta kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan teknik analisis data kualitatif yaitu reduksi data, paparan data, dan penyimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas honorer non sertifikasi di SDN 134 Panorama. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari angket, pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa guru kelas honorer non sertifikasi memiliki kompetensi sosial yang baik yaitu mampu bersikap inklusif, bertindak objektif, tidak diskriminatif, berkomunikasi secara efektif, empatik, dan santun, mampu beradaptasi dengan sesame pendidik, berkomunikasi dengan komunitas profesi. Hanya saja, publikasi ilmiah guru kelas honorer non sertifikasi dikatakan cukup baik, karena publikasi ilmiah masih dilakukan pada tingkat sekolah. Upaya diri guru honorer non sertifikasi adalah mengikuti pendidikan dan pelatihan, menjadi narasumber, mempublikasikan karya ilmiah, dan menampilkan karya inovatif. Upaya kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru adalah guru diikutkan pelatihan, diklat, memberi motivasi, kegiatan peduli sesama, menyediakan fasilitas, menjalin kerja sama dengan pihak luar sekolah dan pemberian penghargaan kepada guru yang berkompetensi baik. The background of this study based on the existence of pre-service teachers who have not been certified at SDN 134 Panorama, Bandung. Teachers who have an educator certificate will easily find out the results of their social competence, while non-certified teachers have no social competence yet. This study aims to determine the social competencies of pre-service teachers, which includes the efforts of honorary class teachers and principals to improve teachers’ social competence. The study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods and qualitative data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data exposure, and inference. The subjects of this study were non-certified honorary class teachers at SDN 134 Panorama. Research instruments consisted of questionnaires, interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that non-certified honorary class teachers have good social competencies which are capable of being inclusive, objective, undiscriminate, communicating effectively, empathically, and politely, being able to adapt to fellow educators, communicating with the profession community. Scientific non-certified honorary teachers are said to be quite good, because scientific publications are still conducted at the school level. The efforts that the non-certified honorary teachers made in order to develop their social competence are taking part in education and training, becoming resource persons, publishing scientific work, and displaying innovative works. The efforts of principals to improve teacher social competence are included training, workshop, motivating members, social event such as fellow caring activities, providing facilities, establishing cooperation with parties outside the school and giving awards to competent teachers.
